Just think what happens when the detailers that get paid 8 bucks an hour get to take your brand new Sti they can't afford to "clean it up" lol

I wonder how many cars are dyno tested before they leave the factory? I know most sport bikes are. They get built, run a for minute or two and stop on a "rolling road" before getting crated up. I'm sure that STI is fine

Reminds me of a time I took my ride in for a free carwash. I got out, they drove my family through the car wash. I was looking at my twin on the lot with an SPT Exhaust. A salesmen asked if I wanted to hear it, so I said sure. He then proceeded to start it and bounce it off the rev limiter several times. I cringed and said, "Woah, that's enough. I'm glad that's not my car!" Now I'm scared to go in for my first oil change!

Every car is dyno tested at the GM plant I worked at. They made Camaro's, Impala's and a few other Pontiac and Buick models when I worked there. Every car hit the dyno, but they were never revved high as it is a vehicle dynamics test, you have to keep the rpm's in a certain range thru gears and the RPM never get above break in max RPM. None of the drivers were ever asshats with the cars. I never saw any abuse on the cars ever from coming off the line to the dyno to being loaded on the trains. I worked in IT so I roamed the plant a lot. The guys driving the cars all were the best workers with the most seniority. It was a position they had to earn so the people would not want to lose the nice job and go back to the assembly line.

If you guys think this guy can't afford this car, you should Google what some longshoremen make. It'll probably make you cry.

My dealer is meeting me with my 13 DGM STI in Boston on Saturday. I used to work for a Chevy dealer in the Philly area when I was 17-19. Every now and again I would deliver a Corvette to south jersey or Delaware on a dealer trade, or just to help someone out. And I would romp on those cars the whole way! Now some kid gets to take my car (that has 8 miles on it) on a hour and a half ride to deliver it. My wife just told me karma is a bitch.
From Boston it's a 5 hour ride back to bucks county. I will be apologizing to the engine the entire way |

I've probably done more damage test driving cars that I didn't end up buying. By Nasioc's standards I should be down in the deepest levels of hell.
