Default ETS TMIC and strut brace clearance

I was wondering if anyone has tried and succeeded in putting on a front strut tower brace and the ETS TMIC on a GR.

If not, any thoughts about what brace to try?

Should we assume this is going to be installed on the STI or the outback XT? Either way, I would suggest against getting the front strut tower brace because it is just eye candy. There are plenty of better suspension mods you could get first.

yeah, thus far I have held off on that one for my STi (hence the GR in the first post). Other braces for sure which have no fitment issues aside from possible under tray issues. But the under tray can be trimmed.

While there may not be a noticeable effect from the addition of the strut tower bar it truly does in fact do something more than just being eye candy. The problem though is that the strut towers are so close to the front firewall that the difference in handling and the changes made by the additional front strut tower bar are not as easily noticed as other braces (such as sway bars & fender braces).

Is it a worthwhile mod to do? Yes. Is it the best bang for the buck mod? Not in the beginning when other suspension mods still could be done first.

Oh, and for the record, my car sees about 6-8 open track days per year. I think I will search for strut bars that clear the Sperco TMIC and see what comes up.

Are you running 2000lb springs? I ask because that's the point at which you'll start to see a benefit of the strut tower brace.
