Default Another Bugeye Build and Sti swap journal = Sugg's

I'll use this thread to log my progress.

I sold my STi last year and bought a bugeye project that will end up being a fun street/weekend car. The car had a broken timing gear so I had planned for the worse. I already had everything I needed for a 2.5L build, including block halves, heads etc. etc., so I was planning to have the car running pretty quickly.... Unfortunately I ran across a good deal on an 07 STi driveline, which I bought. That purchase was a bit of a setback but in the end the car will be a lot of fun.

Summary:
Build, 2.5L Built short block, Ported heads, Kelford cams, Perrin Rotated kit, Perrin big tube ELH, GT35R (for now), SD tuned, running E85.

Driveline/Suspension, Full 07 STI driveline, RCE yellow springs, all new bushings (Whiteline and Tic), whiteline 24mm sway bars, kartboy endlinks and short shifter etc. etc.

Brakes, Brembo's painted black with yellow stickers, racebrake 2 piece front rotors, DBA4000 rear rotors

Interior, 07 STi seats and door cards, gray carpet, all weather floor mats

Exterior, I'll probably end up wrapping the car blue or white, Wing-less and scoop-less

Everything except what is in red I already have.
Bolt-ons:
Garrett HTA3582R with .82 ar hotside
Perrin Rotated kit

Looks like a fun project! My car is slowly moving this same direction, wrb bugeye with morettes, brembos, alot of similair suspension bits etc. Once I have another DD it may finally get the built 2.5 and big turbo, and 6 speed, but the vf39 setup works for now.

A lot of really fine work there. It's good to see people save Bugeyes. I've been on a similar path.. picked up a junked Bugeye about two and a half years ago and have been restoring it to glory.

I def wish I had your built engine setup!
