So I want to buy a replacement hood for my outback ( I already have a few options) But is the hood on my outback also the same hood as on the Legacy sedan models and such?

No question is a dumb one, Ignorance is simply a lack of over all knowledge of particular topic or subject, If we didn't contsantly question things we don't understand we would never figure things out that we want too. While your question comes off a bit hard to answer and not well researched, I wouldn't say its a dumb one.
We are not mind readers and there are four generations of outbacks, It would be impossible to awnser ths question correctly with out knowing witch one you have. Here's what I can add. First gen outback use the same hood as a legacy, you can use a scooped hood or a normal one, it makes no diffrence Second gen outbacks use the same hood as legacy's there are no diffrence's and no scoop option on legs or outbacks. You can use a 1st gen turbo baja hood on 2gen legs and outbacks to get a scoop. Third gen outbacks have slightly diffrent looking hoods while they can be swapped back and forth the same way, if you look closely you'll notice bumps on the hood on either side. A lgt or obxt hood will give you a scoop 4th. Gen outbacks are just lame...that's all I have Last edited by Sneeky Pete; 03-14-2013 at 02:54 PM. |

Agree with above... I have a baja turbo hood waiting to go on my 2000 outback sedan.
