Default manual sunroof close stripped

I have a 99 impreza RS and the sunroof is stuck open and crooked.

the manual close motor which is an allen wrench socket is stripped.

What would be my next step? the gears still work it's just the female receptor that won't take my allen wrench. any easy fixes? All help is appreciated!

First off you need to straighten it out. Then check to see of the cables came off of the pulleys. Check the side that seems not to want to close first. Can you post a pic of the stripped out Allen? Sometimes the right size slotted screwdriver can be used.

when you say pull the roof do you mean it needs to be replaced or it needs to be out in order to get it closed?
