Talking Anyone take there suby to the Dunes?

I loved playing with mine this past winter and when the snow melted I was angry LOL. But I got the idea to take it on the sand...and even with summer tires, it was unstoppable!!! I was up and down the hills like nothing. I did however stop to take some pictures in some soft sand and...i got it stuck and now have no reverse. It was totally worth it just to find out what it could do. Im gonna repair the tranny, throw some good winter tires on it, strap on an orange flag, and hit the Silver Lake sand dunes in west michigan this summer!!! Anyone else wanna go??? Ill get some vids posted soon if anyone is interested. It would be cool to see some WRXs and legacys tearing it up. Whos game?

I was going to plan a small weekend camping trip this summer (gotta wait until I get my new tyres for the scooty puff) but I am down for some off-roading (Lifted OBS rocking 215/75-15 General Grabber AT2s)

Yeah, I just got back from the Outer Banks in NC. Hit up the ocean beach but wasn't equipped for it: 17s with low profile tires, 3 guys and 10 days worth of food, camping/hiking/rockclimbing gear in the trunk and on the roof. So I just cruised around and luckily didn't get stuck.

I went to Silver Lake twice this year. My 05 WRX wagon did just fine. Here's a photo of me climbing test hill.

Anyone going this year? I'll be there the 16th and 17th of August. Just bought my subie and want to just tool around on the beach. No hill climbing just kind of fun stuff I could have never done in my old car.

I've always wanted to see the dunes on the other side of the lake. I took a ferry from Ludington when I was a kid but don't remember much about the area.
