I believe I am in the right thread for this
? But anyways....I recently had a bad run in with a salt truck that made me make a really horrible decision in judgement and caused me to back into a car at 5 mph . Since I was rolling down a slope it caused a significant amount of damage to my bumper and gave me a nice chip in the tail light right as it meets the quarter panel. It's about the size of half the average index finger (1-2 inches )My main concern is that this Amazon tail light wont fit correctly or wont wire up correctly.. idk I'm new to buying things for my car and the paranoia is insane. I'd really appreciate some love and help guys, I've made a few posts concerning my bumper and tail light and have yet to hear a response in any thread. If anyone knows a great vendor to buy a cheap Pass. Side tail light please let me know, or if anyone has one they'll sell i'm just as interested! Thanks in advance.

Why not buy one off a member here in the classifieds?

^This.
If you do decide to go with the Amazon one though, it will be fine. It's made by Depo who makes aftermarket OE style pieces. The fitment is great, and you can't tell they're not OEM. We sell them at work, and I actually had a headlight from them on my last car. |

![]() But on a serious note... I know this is a long shot... But... Wait for it.... Why not buy the light from Subaru if you're so worried about fitment issues |

Lmao I would but the car is under warranty, and I'm not trying to have insurance get involved, if I bring it in, they'll see the damage and ask questions no?

Your insurance gets involved if you involve them, the dealer isn't going to call them for you. They don't even need to see the car, just order the light from their parts counter.

Wow that gives me a lot of relief. I'll be heading over there soon. Thanks a lot. If I order a bumper as well, will it come painted or will I have to find a separate painter?

Dealer doesnt give a damn about if you hit someone.. they're only worried about hitting YOU in the wallet, and selling you new parts.

How did I know you were in NJ? I had a salt spreader run-in on nearly the same date on Route 18 in New Brunswick. It was bumper-to-bumper, and we kept passing each other. I was getting really pissed off, because I had just got the car, so I started honking at the guy (yeah, he was just doing his job) and pounding the steering wheel. People were looking at me strangely at traffic lights. So pissed off.
