aftamaf just takes way the corregated pipe and puts in smooth walls. this is to reduce turbulence, give extra pop/bling factor to your engine bay, and higher durability then the plastic stock piece

Thanks for all the info gentlemen. I may try the same map you're running Vish, to start out with. Gonna try and have a stock set up on hand just in case though. Right now, with whatever tune I've got that Jayson flashed on my car a while back, it leans out and hesitates whenever I start to go into boost...needless to say I don't go into boost unless I have to. Hoping he AP will help this issue.

Why not just get tuned its less expensive than an axis port

I've been "pro" tuned before...remember my horrible numbers at the dyno day hahaha. At least with the AP I'll have a decent base tune, and can always try torqued performance like Joe did for something more specific to my car. I'm paying $400 for the Cobb, whereas a decent protune would cost close to that and I'd have no way of keeping an eye on how "healthy" the tune is.

Yeah the only reason I have a access port is for data logging. That and I have two tunes;-)

I figured the data logging couldn't hurt either. Who tuned your STI? Or did it come with the ap and tunes?

I brought my last STI to topspeed and highly recommend them but, currently I'm on a pdx etune map until I get time to go back to Georgia.

For me to intake investment is for heat soak, visual, and weight improvement.. Scaling the maf on a spt, or cobb intake isn't hard like most, wide band required. Turbo inlet makes noise, improves spool a tiny bit and replaced my crappy splitting plastic stock one. I still say Accessport because of the ability to tune real time tables, always have a source of logging and monitoring without lugging my laptop around. And it's the closest thing to a stand alone without spending $1500 minimum.

Hey Stefan, shoot me a text or PM about how much u might want for the aftermaf hose and airbox. Worst case I can just order the duct/scoop from somewhere, and I'm not real worried about the silencer in the fender...mine might actually still be in the fender.

Thanks
