So I contacted Corr Performance about installing my Crawford AOS for me and they said they have two technicians that they use for mechanic work and one specifically worked in Subarus and to email them and they'll get a respond back.

Corr Performance got this response back from their "technician" and fwd it to me, "No I don't fool with AOS on Subaru they cause engine failure if not maintained properly and are not meant for the pcv system for that motor."

Looks like I won't be taking my car there for any work.

That's pretty odd especially when companies like Perrin and Crawford has one for Subaru's.

Shoot I'd buy a case for someone who's willing to lend a hand who has EXPERIENCE installing one haha

And correct, top name companies make them to prevent oil from getting into your intake and causing detonation which won't be good at all so I don't see why/how someone would say it's gonna cause engine failure if not properly maintained. Ummm Perrins vent right to the oil fill cap so no maintance there and the Crawford one is maintenance free so ya...

Yessir that's was me, Hobart.

Thanks for the install link.

I can most likely do it myself but would love to have someone there to help who has experience to lend a hand.

Subaru Stars LA/MS Meet up...

Anybody interested in meeting up this coming weekend? Either Friday at 6PM by Starbucks in Sidell. Or Saturday at the Gulfport Premium Outlets next to the Interstate. Saturday would be a morning thing like 11 & then a cruise to get lunch somewhere. Spread the word see if we can get good number.
All this is weather permitting of course. Please Roger up if you plan on showing and vote which day works best for you.

1. Any good places that can install my Crawford AOS?
Just curious as to whats making you feel your car does need an AOS? Not bashing in any way, but how heavily modified is your car? I never ran anything on my cars till I was over the 350whp mark, and then i found its use was probably not even needed till I was running in the 400whp area. And then, the safest system was a vented system for the crankcase and valve covers. As far as the return to engine systems, if you see what gets collected in these tanks, there is no way in hell I'd even think about routing that back to the motor, no matter the filtering agent(s) involved.

Just some things to consider.

Oh, and who is David Romero?? screen name? Someone in our area causing troubles?

Angel I may be down for something this weekend, I'll have to see how the first part of the week goes first, but the kids are with ex's then so its a possibility.

I had a simple water separator for an compressor on my bugeye at first and it did an okay job.

Then i got a Greddy Catch can and it caught a lot more.

Imo, I think anyone who does any tuning should have some time of device to help reduce/eliminate the oil in the air intake. Also, the main reason I got one was b/c i bought a brand new TMIC and I wasn't about to get it coated with an oil film or have start dripping oil.

However, on stock cars that never get accelerated hard.. I would never buy one.

Yep, that's the main thing, keeping the oil from making its way to the combustion chambers. Which unless its pouring in (that would be a separate issue anyway) it's not going to hurt much.

The best solution is to have a can simply between the vacuum source on the intake and each system (heads and crankcase) to keep the oil from the intake. Let the cans collect the stuff and drain them periodically.

Cool. I put down two different ideas, one for Friday and one for Sat. Whatever works best. If I had to pick one I would say Sat. You guys from Slidell/New Orleans area can meet there somewhere and drive over to the Premium Outlet Malls lot. We can all cruise to the beach and get some lunch. I'm thinking Hard Rock Cafe (Buffet) or Hooters at the beach, plus we can snap some pictures to post here later. What do you guys think?

Impreza WRX STi Black Beach Weekend Car Show

This event here is coming the weekend of the 11th. We need to def. make a cruise to the beach that weekend. Who's down? Roll call!

http://mscoastcoliseum.com/events/ev...-beach-weekend

We can also just say screw it for this weekend and get a bigger cruise that's worth it the 11th where for sure there will be a lot of other cars on the beach. Gives you guys more time to prep your rides.
