Default 2012 WRX Sedan-STS Question

So I just picked up a pretty 2012 WRX Sedan (Limited) in Ice Silver. 15,000 Miles (Still under factory warranty). Of course, I have some mods in mind. First business is a short throw shifter. I have done searches of the forums and found many outdated threads. However, most of the threads tend to push the KartBoy shifter...Is this the "go-to" Short Throw for 2012 WRX owners? Any other advice on short throw shifters? I have saved for quite awhile so i would say my budget is $300.

P.S.-I would like to retain the factory knob.

Thanks guys

Katboy is probably the most common on the gr's there are some other options, but you wont be disappointed with the Kartboy, Tom (owner) has top quality customer service if you ever have a problem with any of his products.

I've got a 2012 wrx with the SPT short linkage and the Cobb double-adjustable short shifter. Couldn't be happier. It's a pretty big step up shift-wise. Kartboy does seem the be the go-to for most though.

I put up some info here:

I would definitely go with the Kartboy over the factory STS kit.

If you really want the adjustability, get the COBB, but for most the Kartboy is perfect.

Listen to this guy, he might be the boy who cried wolf (Stage 1 Really?) but he knows his stuff, and always has awesome pics and reviews of everything.
