If you head on over to the Built Motor sub-forum, you'll find plenty of threads using the search feature. Like the one below.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ight=2+2+turbo

Be sure to fill out your profile as well, so we know where you are and can help with local shops and such.

And the easiest way to beat your friend in a race is just wait until it rains or snows. Then challenge him. If he declines, you call him a chicken and that you win by forfeit.

I've had a 2.2 turbo'd for about 4 years on 6lbs. Its been really fun, but there is no way you'll put down enough power for your goal safely.

Well in fairness his goal is just to beat a camaro. He never really says how.

So you're suggesting the sledgehammer method? And no, I'm not referring to the awesome Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette, but rather to an actual sledgehammer that he takes to his friends camaro.

One sets a WHP goal along with a budget and the car's use in order to modify it. Being vague like "beating my buddy's Camaro" means that you will never reach your goal as we don't know:

1. What the Camaro has in it
2. What do you mean by beat...in autocross....in drag racing

2+2+2=6
2+x+y=2xy

Can you see the math we are dealing with here?

Going to have to disagree with you on the math there, Ron. If you add 2, X, and Y, you don't get the product of the three. You get an additive.

For example:
X=4
Y=5

2+X+Y=40, not 11.

I still think he should just take a sledgehammer to the Camaro, Hinshaw-Style, yo.

Bro. 2+x+y can not be simplified any further than 2+x+y. 2xy means 2*x*y.

For example, x=3, y=5

2+x+y=2+3+5=10
2xy=2(3)(5)=2*3*5=6*5=30

WTF?
If X=4, Y=5, 2+X+Y = 2+4+5 = 6+5 = 11
If X=4, Y=5, 2XY = 2(4)(5) = 8(5) = 40

I believe this is a Diophantine equation which has infinitely many solutions. Once you choose a value for x, you can plug it in to get a corresponding y value.

For instance, if x = 0, then y must equal -2.

Unabomber was merely pointing out we need some numbers (goals) to plug in. There is no single solution.

Unabombers are smarter than you think.

My buddy had a 93 legacy he put a td04 in on his 2.2. It was a really fun car, he only had problems with headgaskets which could've been remedied by just using hgs from a turboed buru

Why? X and Y are independent variables.

No, as the value of one dictates the value of the other, they are absolutely dependent.

Plug in any value for x. You will get a unique answer for y. Or, vice-versa.

Make a table of values. You'll see.

If not, then it's summer school for you.

Summer school for you. Both variables are on the same side of the equation, solving for an unknown.

Do you have 4-7 grand laying around? If so go purchase a Ej207 V7 or V8 from a vender on here, tune and 8.5k rpm shift. Profit somewhere?

A Ej205 which is Wrx motor here in the US will take some work and mods to do 350whp reliably. a Ej25 will do it better but even then is limited around 400whp after lots of mods.
best choice, a JDM Ej207 V7 RA Engine with a 6 speed swap. problem solved Next thread please!

And just to note everybody here is trying to help but will seem like a Ass no matter what you do you will get bashed and bashed and eventually will make you quit.

also ur trans wont last at the whp lvl you need to beat him. So yes you will need a new trans. so in total save up 7-10grand, buy a used Wrx and mod it. Or do a swap, I vote Swap.
