Just curious on something. My new nav HU comes with the option of a back up camera. Does anyone know if there's a aftermarket piece that can be put in where the 4th brake light would go, at the bottom of the bumper, on my 2011? I know people add that xtra brake light but I was thinking it would be nice if you could throw a camera in there. Or maybe even a brake light/camera combo, if that's even possible.

Search this thread. There are at least two other posts regarding this. Yep, you can.

Anything is possible. With the camera installed so low below the bumper, it becomes hard to gauge how close you are to anything if you can't see the bumper for a reference point. The overhang above the plate works perfect for a camera.

Step 1. Turn head around.
Step 2. Back up Step 3. Don't hit anything. BAM! Just saved you like $300. You're welcome ![]() Why not mount it under the trunk garnish Bottom of the bumper would be too low. You want it angled down not up. |
