Not necessarily. They sell the same wheel in different colors/bolt patterns/offsets.

Could someone please help me out? I'm looking at 15x6.5/7" rims with 195/65 tires for the winter and would like to know what the lowest offset I can safely go is? I understand offset, but am having a tough time finding a rim with the same offset as the stock rims. Most are lower.

Hello guys, need little help here.

I am considering to buy works wheels, "17x7.5 +50 5x100" for my impreza 2.0i premium hatchback.

1. Would that offset above work?
2. Which tire size do you guys recommend for this setup? (Mine is slightly lowered with Epic Engineering springs)

Please advise.

Thank you!

Well considering you are going with a thinner tire, you have even more room for error. Id say you could go +20-25 and be fine, but to be safe anywhere from +30 - 50 should fit.

Ive seen 9.5" wheel on the impreza with apparently no rubbing so theres room under there.

1. yes
2. stock works, 205/50/17 or if you want wider like 225 that would work too.

Personally I like the stock tire size. The wider you go the more rolling resistance (lower mpgs), easier to slide on snow, more expensive, etc.

Anyone experiment with RPF1's yet? Found a good local deal on some 17x7.5 ones. Same size spec as my Rota's, so they're good to go. Black too.. Yes!

GUIZE!! URGENT!!

Found a great deal locally on some BBS RC's.. Most RC's are 18x7.5, but these are 18x8 +32's. I've seen pics of the 7.5's on Subaru's, as well as a BRZ, and they seem to have no issues. I am at stock ride height. There is 225/40's on them, and I'd probably retain that size. So the question is - will these fit?? I'd imagine so, but I just need to validate. I don't want to roll fenders or anything like that. Just bolt on and go. Then analyze the sizing after to figure out how much I can drop. Also, no spacers or other mods. Lastly, will these use stock ball seat lugs, or the angled "tuner" lugs? Anyone know? I know most aftermarket wheels use tuner, but since these come on stock cars, I wasn't sure.. Thanks!

I have 18x8's on my car with 225/40's on them. I did have to buy different lug nuts for wheels, mainly just because the stock lugs were too wide.

So with the 18x8 on 225/40's, we're good with no rubbing or scraping? How about that +32 offset? Most 18x8's for our cars are listed with offsets in the 40's.. Could you post a pic of your 18x8's by chance??

So would the +32 poke them out further or bring them inwards?

Hey all, I just bought a 2013 WRX and need to buy some winter tires, I found some slightly used ones online for a good price but I am not sure if they will fit. Tire size is 205/55R16 which I have been told is good, but my concern is with the offset, the wheels are +35. Anyone know if these will work?

Default 17x9 +45

tired of my stock 17x7 +48 205/50/17's on my 2012 Imp Hatch...

looking at 17x9 +45.

What's the tire size that will bring me close to stock diameter and height?
...without rubbing of course (don't want to spend extra $ on a fender roll...)

255/40/17?
245/40/17?

The offset will bring the wheel 22mm closer to the struts...is there enough space under there?

Did a search and couldn't come up with anything so a lil' help please!

Thanks but already tried that and other calculators.

On paper it looks like it'll fit BUT in the real world, it might rub.

Unfortunately, I have to buy before I try the tires which is what I want to avoid.

Has anyone tried this setup? And what size tire did you use?

Go through the threads and read. No way around it. Lots of people only stay on the site for a couple weeks, then disappear.

Theres definitely been 9" wide wheels on imprezas that Ive seen. Idk what tire was used.

That's the big issue.. It'll "seem" like it'll work, but it's not sure until you actually do it. Then you're the jerk that just fronted $1,000 to have it not fit. lol

Can anyone comment re: offset?

I'm looking at some wheels that are +40 offset, I know that stock we have 48. I also want to lower the car. How does this all correlate?

been reading for a couple of weeks already...

problem is that most just post the wheel specs and NOT the tires they're running or if they had to mod to get them to fit.

I'm hoping my wheel guy will be patient and dry fit a couple of sets of rubber for me.
