Good. My buddy is selling some and I may just scoop them up!

235/45's on them. Are those too wide? I'm at stock height. Getting coils in the spring, and can fender roll if necessary..

Excellent. Got it locked up for him to hang onto them for me. Not sure if I'll just mount them and sell my BRZ's with snows, or wait until Spring.. I think I'll be the first GP Impreza with RC's..? haha

I cant make up my mind on the new rims I want, I'm between the Kosei K4R's and XXR 530 in Chromium Black

Kosei K4R
--PROS--
*LIGHT - about 14 pounds (increase whp, mpg, better handling, better ride)
--CONS--
*Expensive (about $200 of Tirerack)
*Not huge on the looks...

XXR 530 Chromium Black
--PROS--
*LOVE the looks
*Cheaper, I found them for about $110
--CONS--
*About 19 pounds compared to the 14

any suggestions guys?

$200 a wheel is expensive? Hardly. I'd rather pay for quality construction and not have bent wheels.

However, between those two, go Kosei.

I'm looking to get the XXR 530's in 17x8.25. Anyone know if I can fit a 25 offset or should I stick to 35?

I got new Motegi Racing MR122 18x8 wheels and Toyo Proxes 4 Plus 225/40r18 tires today.

Edit - Added a little better pictures but with this rainy weather and low light they are still not very good.

AK33, how's the build quality of those Motegi's? Haven't had much experience with them.. Looking at the 118's myself. Also 18x8. How's your ride and fitment with the 18x8 and 225/40's? Stock suspension? Looks good!

Handles great I feel like my car is a lot more glued to the pavement then I did with the stock set up. They fit great on the car as well zero rubbing they are actually not much taller then the stock 17x7 205/50r17 just a bit wider and the Toyo tire have a lot more grip. The wheels look good seam to be built well but they are a gravity casting so not to fancy. If your not familiar with gravity casting here is and explanation.

GRAVITY CASTING

Gravity casting is the most basic process of pouring molten aluminum into a mold utilizing the earth's gravity to fill the mold. Gravity casting offers a very reasonable production cost and is a good method for casting designs that are more visually oriented or when reducing weight is not a primary concern. Since the process relies on gravity to fill the mold, the aluminum is not as densely packed in the mold as some other casting processes. Often gravity cast wheels will have a higher weight to achieve the required strength.

The wheels weigh 25.4lbs each not sure how heavy that is compared to other 18x8. I was not going for super light. I just wanted my car to look cool and be unique.

Suspension is stock everything other then my wheels and tires are stock and the off set is +45mm. The wheels / tires sit nicely in my cars wheel wells they don't hang out to far nor do they sit to far to the inside. I had the stock wheels / tires in the back off my car when I took the pics so the back is sitting a little lower than usual.

25 is pretty hefty, but I wasn't expecting lightness from a set of wheels that are 600 for all 4. haha My Volks were 18's and 17 pounds.

I did not buy them because I wanted light racing wheel. I bought them because I think they look cool. In the big picture is an extra 32+ pounds really going to effect the way my 148hp car drives? No its not and I like the way these wheels look a lot better then any of the other wheels I could find out there.

Very true. Not disrespecting at all. Just saying that's hefty. That's probably what I'll do with the Motegi's too. The wagon isn't a track car, it's a daily. haha

Yes I put the badge overlays on yesterday they have the same color background as my cars paint with metallic black stars. Link to website I bought them from http://www.jdmfanaticvinyls.com/

excuse the sticker on the fender...hit a tire on the freeway and it destroyed my fender so this is my "bandaid"

I can get some of those Tony Angelo RPF1s (18x9.5 +38) rather cheap. How close would they be to "flush" with the Crosstrek flares assuming no camber change?

From measurements, it looks to be almost dead flush with the flare.

So today I took back the Toyo Proxes 4 Plus 225/40r18 tires. I did not like how low pro they were and I also did not like how loud they were. I could feel every single crack in the pavement and they sounded like 4x4 truck tires.

I decided to go with a Continental ExtremeContact DWS in a larger 235/45r18 size. I drove about 40 miles on them today and I like them a lot better. The ride is quieter and a lot smoother. They feel a bit different cornering not sure if it is the extra height or softer sidewalls? Kind of looser or like they have more float to them not sure of the right word to describe it.

They only rubbed a couple times. Once they rubbed when I took a sharp left last min onto a side street at about 25mph. I hit a bump and the front tire rubbed in the center front inside of the fender well with the steering wheel cranked. I also had a rear tire rub on the fender when I was going about 40mph and I hit a big bump on a sharp banked corner. I am planning to get the 1" lift spacers so that should fix any rubbing issues when I hit large bumps in the road.
