Exactly what I though. It looks like Aspen, now SWP. Could you get some pictures in the day? It would be a lot easier to tell the difference in sunlight vs camera flash.

Agreed. I've had my back bumper replaced and while you could tell there was a difference if you looked close, it wasn't even close to this. They definitely screwed the pooch on this one.

That'll never fade to match properly. As someone said earlier, the factory paint will fade, too, so it'll never match.

I would go back to the same shop because if you go somewhere else, you'll get charged again.

The longer you wait the worse it'll be. They could say some foreign body caused the paint to not match or something. I would bring it back immediately.

Damn dude, that looks a lot like an arctic white paint and not SWP. It definitely needs to be repainted. Thats not going to match ever.

I had my 2011 swp bumper redone 3 times and it sucks. Now i just destroyed my lip and right fender. The swp has at least 7 variations whitter to yellow. They have to do spray cards and match.
I am paying extra to have my entire front blended.

Sounds like that shop fed you a line of bull to get you out of there. I personally would not have driven the car out of there with that much of a difference. I work in a body shop and if panels are off even a quarter of the shade that is, it gets resprayed. There is no way that will "dirty up" and match, should match exactly soon as its sprayed.

I vote respray as well. It won't "dirty up" enough to make a damn bit of difference.

Since you went through insurance, contact them to come take a look at it. They can come inspect the repairs to make sure the shop fixed the car to factory specs.

Yeah, that's way to far off man. I got a crack in my front bumper next to the Tow Hook access, had it fixed and the bumper re-sprayed. It was only noticeable if you looked at the right angle in the right light. After about a year now you can't notice it at all.

Definitely needs to be fixed somehow, it's a really nice color... but it doesn't match.

So i went to the body shop today and it was no hassle..he said to come back in spring and he will have a respray/blend on the bumpers and side skirt...he explained how hard it is to match....he said he would rather wait for warmer weather to do the spray/blending to the bumpers and side skirt and wants a hundred percent satifactions...he also showed me it has a lifetime warranty so hopefuly in two months or so i can bring it back and have it sprayed/blended

I have a 2010 Impreza Satin white pearl. Someone rear ended and me scratched the bumper. I had it repainted and the painter did the same thing as happened to you. In the shade, I couldn't tell the difference but once I saw it in the sun, it looked just like your car. Subaru used a different white before and I think he used that one. He repainted it (for free) and it matches now.

This won't get him anywhere....I recently went through an insurance claim and I picked a shop and that shop screwed me over and I filed a complaint with BBB and all it does is basically puts a bad mark on their name. So say if someone were to look the business up, all they would see if your complaint on thier file. If they don't fix it take them to small claims court.....that's what I'm doing right now

Also let your insurance company know whats going on!! Document everything and seriously sign something that says he's going to respray it! Did you go to a body shop recommended by the insurance co and is in their database or a shop that you picked? No matter how nice a shop may be dont trust em with just words....get it in writing and get signatures!! Dont make the same mistake I did and later down the line have to sue and hopefully get something back out of it lol

BBB is a joke. Sad part is, most people see that and think it means something.
