Default Bolt on performance parts for 2015 WRX

I recently just bought my first ever subaru, a 2015 wrx and I want to do simple upgrades like intake and exhaust however not really sure which brand I should go with to get the most for my dollar. Any suggestions?

The 2015 WRX is a new platform. It will take a while for mods to come out for it. I would at least enjoy the miles and time on your warrenty before modding.

I have a 2015 wrx (first time subaru owner) as well and am looking to do the same. Any particular companies I should be looking at?

I am a new wrx owner either. Cobb is the best tuner in NA, and Perrin is also good.

I imagine that like previous models, bolt ons for the '15's are not going to be as simple as you might think. a new intake / exhaust will require a new tune or you will be throwing codes.

Start here as a rough fitment guide and come back with more detailed questions (after searching!):
http://www.rallysportdirect.com/

Most of these companies already have a proven track record (good or bad) with Subarus. A bit of research will tell you all you need to know.

Your best bet is to wait for the aftermarket to catch up and a lot of new things are coming out but IMHO I would drive it for a while in stock form since its a new car and you have a warranty and it would be better to make sure the car does not break in stock form before you put mods on it, I will start modding after about 10000 miles I think or a year

K&N filter is a good start if there's a compatible one available. If the stock one is like any other vehicle I've owned or worked on it's worth replacing.

there is lots of info on this site from people who have consistantly had bad experiences. Problem lies int he fact that you have to use a filter oil that subarus dont like.

No, the problem is over oiling the filter when cleaning it and having it gunk up the MAF sensor. Just inspect the filter before installing it and beware of the amount of oil you use when cleaning it and you'll be fine. This isn't a problem just relegated to Subi's either rather the K&N filter. But I've had one on every vehicle I've owned and I've got 4000 miles on my current one with no issues.
