A few of the guys on that show are acquaintances of mine and we helped with the cars at our shop here in Sevierville. I haven't personally seen the show but the fellas are really nice people very laid back, but highly competitive drivers. Glad to know the show is getting watched though.

i watched, there was an STI that did OK his first race, then was eaten up by a super badass 69 Camaro. There was a wicked GT-R that killed the muscle cars, it was set up well...full cage, spinning 4 wheels out of the corners, talented driver...entertaining to watch.
I'm not good with names and years of cars, not that concentrated on show, but did enjoy the driving. Would LOVE to own a few of the 68/69 Camaro's they brought out...damn, supercharged V8's, some 600hp 520lb ft crate motors, modern suspension and Baer brakes. I love that stuff!!!

It definitely isn't just cars pulled off the street and guys that have only done a few track days or auto crosses. They have some seriously built cars, fully caged, and everyone could drive their car. It was better than I expected, but not a must see show, for me anyways.

The dude "Badler" in the 220hp 328 BMW was a joke though!

Out braking the Mustang in the first race was sweet. Looks like you hung it out wide and sideways a bit in a couple corners. Would a little slower in and faster out have helped, or just too much straight line speed from the Camaro. Those Camaro's are set up well too, they aren't running stock suspension by any means. They're built pro touring modern sub-frames, sway bars, coilovers, brakes, and all top of the line hsit.. You did pretty well though, still must've have a whole lot of fun. Could you not run Hoosiers, what were tire restrictions?

After the mustang went off I was kinda showing off by slinging it into the corners, when I was racing the final car he just pulled on me every corner and I was trying different things because slow in fast out wasn't really working. A week before they said it had to be 200tw I didn't have anything sufficient so I had to borrow some 255's from TADPOLE. It was definitely fun and other than having twice the horsepower most of those guys didn't have much.

Right On!! sounds like a damn good time, how'd you get hooked up with the show? I thought you rep'd the Suby pretty well. Runnning 315hp against those 500+ hp muscle cars, and I thought most of them were running pro touring suspension set ups too.
With a little more power, you'd have put them to shame. Look at how that GT-R slaughtered them. I recognize that was a pretty built car. But, if you had 50-75 more hp it seems you could have kept up in the straights and gone around them in the corners.
Anyways, I'm sure you had a great time and super fun experience.

So let me get this straight.

They put all modded up muscle cars with 500-600whp with upgraded braking system, and upgraded suspension vs. near stock import cars?

Seams fair.

They weren't all stock cars. The M3 was a TA/TT car, obviously the GTR wasn't stock. I had a down pipe and coil overs lol.

Whooooa my bad dude, I was just clearing things up a little. I wasn't contradicting you because there were some stock and "near stock" I'd have to disagree with that "cournering" comment be cause I caught up almost every corner and they just pulled on me on the straights so power had ALOT to do with it.
Ok I can't read, you can't spell.

There's some die hard muscle car guys here in northern nevada that have "import killer" on some their cars. It kind of feels like I'm watching what I've gotta go thru here haha

This show had an opportunity to be pretty cool....but no. This is one of the most irritating shows I've ever watched.

And what's with the redneck drivers running off the track every other race? They suck.

Just watch the show knowing that your car will run at optimal performance on any day of the week than theirs ever will

I know most of the rednecks (as well as the production company) and all the racing was legit. We run an event called the Ultimate Street Car Invitational-

Several of the rednecks and their cars have run in past years and we have a qualifying event, the Detroit Speed Southern Slam, coming up next month at the same track (CMP) where the redneck show was filmed. Several of the rednecks and their cars will be competing in that event, so if you'd like to find out if you are faster than them, this is your chance. The event is timed, but it is not wheel to wheel, so if you ding up your car, it's your own fault.

We also have a qualifying event at Road America in June, that will be filmed for TV (since SPEED is changing, we're not sure where it will air yet). I've been trying to get a Subaru into our event for years and the last Subie we invited backed out on us. We don't hand out $10,000 at the OUSCI, but everyone in the event will have their cars on display at SEMA all week, we put them on TV and swag everyone up pretty well.
