I'm stoked. I bought a bunch of ghost shrimp to feed her, turns out they were ALL bearing eggs!! I put them in my 55 so they could lay them and hopefully spawn.

I heard rocks rustling, turns out Mr. Fire eel was eating a male. I let him finish and put him in the big tank. He's huge! He was 4" last time I saw him, he's nearly 7" now

I'm guessing the eel likes to hide a lot. That would be pretty cool if you could raise your own shrimp. And dam they are some big sturgeons.

He does...a LOT. He hasn't hidden in the new tank though

Yeah, that would save some money. I need to get Tayla eating blood worms though and I need to make sure she is parasite free. She had something on her belly, but I believe it's normal.

Yeah, sturgeons are monsters.

So turns out the "female" ray I got was an underdeveloped male. I called the LFS at 1852 and they said bring him in and they will return it. They close at 1900.

I brought him in at 1910 and we made the swap and placed the order for a REAL female. They gave me (2) 8" bichirs, an 8" black ghost, and a 5" bushynose pleco. That sure balances it out, I've still got $20 in store credit too

Dam well at least you got more bichirs. What made you think he was a male? At least they took him back and ordered you a female.

He had very tiny claspers forming. It was hard to tell because he was a slightly different stingray, P. Magdalenae vs P. Reticulata.

The bichirs are AWESOME. Their size commands respect, but they are so friendly

The black ghost is awesome, but I'm worried. We had one that died mysteriously, but he was MUCH smaller. This one is, like I said, about 8" and from a much better source.

The bushynose is already doing good work on my algae, so he was worth it.

Yeah, I'm glad they are ordering a female for me. It will either be a reticulated or motoro.

I'll get some of the black Ghost as soon as I get him a moon tube. They are super reclusive.

The bushynose is awesome too. He immediately went to work cleaning.

Works for me. I'm swamped with this exercise on base until the 8th, we could meet up after that.

4 years.

I'm putting my salt setup for sale right now, but all 3 tanks will go up. I may keep my 55 and house local fish I'm also going to try to trade my 06 STI and 99 Forester for an 08+ Forester.

If any of you guys need a 90g salt setup ready to roll, check the classifieds.
