Default What will i lose

I've got a 2011 wrx with upgraded tmic, dp with high flow cat, equal length header and magnaflow exhaust, the car has been tuned before the inner cooler and equal length to 280 Hp 320 trq. I recently moved and I'm driving a lot more to work. It's bad for the youngest executive to have such a loud car, so I was thinking about swapping back to the stock cat back. My question is how bad will my power loss be. If it will be bad, what's the quietest performance exhaust on the market?

I run with a full invidia and honestly at normal operating temperature when the vehicle it is a idle its pretty quiet and when in normal driving conditions its quiet. You can tell its not stock but ive had no complaints from neighbors as i leave at 4 am. Far as power loss if you switch back to a stock CBE there should be none i have a buddy with just a invidia dp and other mods and he is still pushing in 290. Exhaust are really just noise makers and for looks

Buy another car that makes you fit in with the other executives. Even if you quiet it down it's still going to look and sound aggressive.

I make it my best effort to NEVER drive my car to work.

Its ok to look and sound aggressive, hell the boss drives a Porsche, but I moved to Baltimore so its more than the Stigma of pulling into the lot, its also the annoying drone of DC traffic when Im going to visit customers and vendors, this is not their request, its mine...Maybe Im growing old...

I foresee a negligible loss of power. I used the stock axleback for a long time and the car was still plenty powerful.

Very few Subarus look aggressive. That's not a valid concern.

Default less than 10-20 HP

I use a stock cat back after finding the MadDad Whisper back as too loud.

I was surprised that it made so little difference.

I would have used some of that executive cash to by a second car. If you are trying to look the part any Subaru is going to bring you down.

Such an ignorant American viewpoint. America is great indeed.

I need a new tuner!

At your hp levels the stock catback will lose you virtually nothing.

I could car less what he or anyone else drive I only mentioned it because he said it didn't fit in with his executive lifestyle. I drive a P.O.S. beater and an rediculously unpractical Subaru here in one of the most materialistic places in the country because I don't really care what the LA idoits think.

Guys it's not like I'm being snobby these guys have sporty cars to mini vans, but none of them are loud. A comment was made about a lack of professionalism. I've got 6 figures in student loans so no second car. Thanks for answering the question.

I wouldn't worry about the comment of lack of professionalism. Just do your job to the best of your ability. You can still keep a fairly low profile with a loud vehicle.

Slap on the stocker and get the qtp exhaust cutout. Best of both worlds

I appreciate your advice and concern, the swap has been done and its now a non issue, the question wasnt if you agreed with my choice to swap exhausts back, it needed to happen, I take customers to lunch and visit them on site etc and a loud car wasnt appropriate for the task. The question was about its negative impact on the power output. Thanks for the answer to my question
