Default Ethanol + Water instead of Meth + water?

Dears,

Some questions:

1st : does Water mix with Ethanol? ( heard touloune doesn't mix with water!)

2nd: Does Ethanol have higher octane than Methanol?

3rd: if the pump is completely safe with Meth + water , can i replace meth with Ethanol ? is it worth it?

Thank you.

1. yes it does.

2. about the same

3. Yes you can. It will be more expensive. Less latent capacity than methanol. You will also run richer if you don't trim fuel.

Conclusion:
Methanol cools better, less effect on afr, same octane. Cheaper than Ethanol..
