Default Cobb sf intake install question

So I just got my cobb intake and was reading over the install instructions when it recommended leaving in the intake silencer. My question is if I take it out, will the cobb intake be louder than if I were to leave it in? I also got the air box. Thanks for the help

If you take out the silencer, it will make more noise than if left in.

If you remove the silencer, it will no longer silence...

I know that it'll make the stock intake a little louder, I've done it on my previous wrx. I know the cobb sf intake is louder by default, but they said you should leave the silencer in to help draw cooler air. I'm asking if it's more quiet if I leave it in vs taking out with the cobb intake installed

The silencer does nothing to hinder turbo noise when you replace the intake with a cone filter.

It will help feed cold air, but have NO effect on the volume of the intake.

None.

At all.

Ok cool thank you! I remember that thing being a pain to take out, so I was keeping fingers crossed. I'm putting the intake on over the weekend along with my turbo back
