I've been a BMW guy since I bought my first car at 18 (2000 323i). I've still got it and love it, but I got tired of the lack of cargo room and getting stuck places in winter. I also wanted a newer car for the reliability and safety. Enter my '13 WRX. Hatchback means I can haul pretty much anything I'll need to, and I'll never get stuck. Had it two weeks and I absolutely love it.

Just be sure to invest in winter tires and you're good

Word, only if. Idk, I think it's better being with a girl that doesn't know about cars. Of course its a great bond but idk, catch my drift?

Always loved SUV's, had a Nissan Pathfinder and a Mitsubishi Montero Sport wanted a 4runne. Always said to myself if I owned a car it would be an Impreza.. Then I saw one on the side of the road, drove it, bought it, and now I need to go to Subaruers Anonymous meetings for my addiction.

A high school friend, who is also still a member on here. The first time I ever saw his black 2.5RS, I told myself that one day, I'll own a Subaru.

Three years later (2007) I finally was able to afford one.

Depending on your area.....you may want to go used. The only reason I went new on my '13 STI was beacuse I live in CO (land of subarus). he difference between sticker new and used is ridiculous. My wife bought her forester in FL 4 years ago and for price/age she can still easily make money up here. I'd search used local market first.

I had been looking for a car to buy, and had my heart set on a 6 speed G35 coupe. My dad told me that that was an "old man" car and to look at one of "those sti things". Here I am ~8 months later with an STI!

I used to own a boosted civic and golf gti. Needed AWD for New England winters, so a Subaru sounded most prime.
Obviously I wanted boost, that's when I discovered my 03 wrx wagon

It's been a love affair ever since

Co Parts got me into the SUBIE life. Found a front end totaled car and went for the bid and won her for 5k. She's worth about 20-22k now from all my hard work and money I put into her but I'm loving the Subie life!!

My parents owned their first Subaru before most of you were alive. They bought me a decrepit '93 Legacy L as my first car, when Subaru still sold FWD cars in the states. I owned an '00 OBS after that and then outgrew these cars. I did try to buy an '11 WRX when they first came out, but the only one I could find in the country that I wanted had a $3k markup over sticker on it. Maybe I'll pick up a used BRZ in a few years.

Saw them on the internet as a teen. Saved my pennies and finally bought one 5 months ago. Sold my motorcycle because I never ride it now

I remember like it was yesterday, there was a huge thing going on at the local community college in the parking lot. I went to take a look, and it was a bunch of two door imprezza's whippin around in cones.

Went home and started doing research on a 56k modem (which was baller in 1997) and found this beautiful machine called the STI. Have been in love ever since and finally purchased a 13 wrx in march. Could not be happier with it, wish I bought one a long time ago

Playing the first Gran Turismo on the PS One as a kid. I loved the "blue car with the stars on it", as I would call it.

Also wanted a reliable 4+ door where the seats fold flat and mitsu couldn't give me that. All that was left in my mind was Subaru. I valet parked one and loved it, and at that job, met a manager of a Subaru dealership who sold me one. Glad I got my Impreza.

My dad had an old Subaru. It wasn't in the greatest physical shape, but even so, at the age of 7, I somehow felt that the car had "heart", and I really liked it. He later sold the car, but I never really forgot about it. Then after I got out of high school, I drove my friend's STI and decided I needed a subie of my own. On my second one now.

I saw a review on Motorweek back in 2011 that piqued my interest. I was looking for a fun DD. I had never really thought about a subaru before.
At first I was hesitant to buy my STi because of the "boy racer" wing and the fact that I was 48 year old with hair that was either turning grey or turning loose.

EVERYONE said I was having a midlife crisis. I told them it ain't a "crisis" if you know what to do. Enjoying life!

After comparing mini cooper countryman, honda si, and 370z.

Would have been harder decision between wrx and 370z if I hadn't owned 350z.

My buddy was getting really into Evos and found that the STi is pretty much a direct competitor and I fell in love with the cars. And more so with the fact I could beat his ass in a race which is obviously more important ahaha

My dad got a Subaru when I was a kid and we lived in Alaska. It...never...stopped. So I loved and trusted them ever since. I've owned 5 of my own and the love continues.

Recently moved to NC from FL to continue school, had some cash saved up for a car and decided AWD would go nicely up here. Had my eye on a wrx for at least a year prior though. Also the distinct boxer rumble got me. I could tell one was coming up before i even owned a subaru haha
