My friend had a '04 wrx when we were in highschool. One day on our way home from school, he let me drive it and I instantly fell in love. I had to have one so after around 4 years of saving I bought my '08 cash.

I'm 40. I drove a Ford F-150 for 12 years. A change in careers allowed me to afford a newer car (mileage stipend!) and also forced me to look for something that got better gas mileage.

Living in Rochester NY, I wanted a four wheel drive for the winter. After realizing I no longer needed a pickup or SUV to get good traction, I looked at Subarus for their AWD.

Wandered onto the lot one day thinking I wanted a Forester or Outback. Very long story short...I ended up with a boy racer 2012 STI sedan. Now I'm screwed for life because I can never go back to a "regular" car.

The Need For Speed Underground video game...02-03 bug eye...fell in love with it then, and wanted one ever since.

My sister gave me her 98 OBS with 110k miles in 2004 for $1. She had just graduated medical school and had better things ahead. Eight years later, 250k miles total on the body, 60k on the swap, and it is still the most enjoyable daily driver I have owned.

Yes... going from 90whp to 370whp had a huge influence.

Since I could remember, I have always liked rally cars. I liked the 555 Subaru from back in the day. I test drove a bugeye sedan once but it squeaked. Passed on it. A few years later when I was selling used cars, I took a black bugeye wagon to show off to my girlfriend. I finally got into Subarus when I got tired of being paranoid of my Honda being stolen. It had a Type R swap and I had already had a civic stolen before. I think it was destined for me to own a Subaru. When I was looking for a new car, I found my bugeye wagon. Sold my civic and now my family has enjoyed our subie for 2 years. I now have a saying "Inside of every Honda enthusiast, there is a Subaru enthusiast." Most of the time it is true. It was true for me anyways.

Watched WRC, loved the look of the Subaru's. Really wanted a 2.5RS when they hit the US, though I wasn't knowledgeable about them to know they came turbo'ed in Japan and other countries, wasn't in a position to buy one anyways.
Went to the auto show in 2004 and stared at the STi for over an hour, thought it was the coolest looking car, and couldn't believe it was a turbo 4 cylinder with 300hp. I could't afford one but worked at a bike shop and a good customer came in that owned one and let me take it for a test drive. Damn, it was incredible, still more than I wanted to spend and I needed a wagon for my activities. So, I ended up with a used '03 WRX wagon. It's been the most fun car I've ever owned.

Always wanted to be with the "cool" guys with a car that gets aftermarket support.
I Refuse to do honda. But always tought subaru wrx had only 1 sticker price $35k.
Until 1 day I saw I could buy a 4 door awd turbo factory car around $28k with decent accessories. 2 months later after driving my wife crazy talking about awd and the difference between subaru commercial and the rest of the market, I bought my limited wrx '13. I was okay with a used one but my wife never trust a used car.
Now she is the one talking how awesome subaru are.

When I was a little kid I saw a WRX and that giant spoiler and those gold BBS's I was hooked. From then on I was convinced Subaru's were Australian cars, don't know why ha ha. Then as I dug a little further the whole rally team and AWD intriguied me. Once I was able to afford one (barely) I got my WRB WRX! Full circle, now I'm moddin' the hell out of it and making up for all those years when I was yearning to own a Subaru.

I have always been into Honda and always wanted a Subaru but they were to much money. My friend has an 05 wrx we went out in the snow one night and I was sold. I got rid of my bike and integra and purchased an 04 wrx with some sti components.

I used to be an evo owner I had owned a evo 8 and evo 10, which they were really great and so east the get that high hip with no problem, to be honest u sed to hate any Subaru I will see on the streets lol, but I got tired of mods all the time and saw my friend had his sti and I drove it a couple of times and read about it a lot of how good for daily driving. So I decided to get one. I just got an 2011 wrx sedan in January, just installed exhaust and sf intake and I'm happy with which I know it is not as fast as the evo but I'm satisfied with my subie

Happen to drive by Affordable Auto Sales in Anchorage, AK where they had a 05 STi for sale. Traded in my focus and got ripped off like no other. Car ended up being a repo that was stripped AND I paid too much for it if it was clean, lol.

Sold it and bought a much more taken care of 04 STi and raced it for one season of Auto-X up in AK.

I have bought around 30 cars since and I normally come back to Subaru. My BRZ is my 7th Subaru and first non turbo of the lot.

Was trading in an FX-GT Corrola for something with more room... they had a 1990 Legacy GT Wagon on the lot. Traded it in and missed it for ages. Finally had the chance to pick up another Subie so I got the bugeye that I wanted.

Long story: ...... blah...... blah.... blah...

Cliff Notes: Worked for Inline Four ('04), went for a ride in an STi ('04) and then bought my '07 STi ('07).

Well, I built a s/c'd BMW 330Ci ZHP before buying the STi, but yeah, ended up buying an STi.

Parents had a Justy when I was a kid. Fell in love with the STi in Gran Turismo (the original), then was elated when Subaru started selling the WRX here. WRXs have been my favorite cars since (with a brief hiatus in college when I wanted a GTI). Dad bought an '04 Baja Turbo (still has it), and its been problem free for almost 10 years. So, i decided to buy the car I always wanted, and here I am with a '12 WRX.
