After hydroplaning in my 2000 mustang gt at 50mph I was looking at another one with similar mods at the Subaru dealership. The sale man gave me the subie challenge. Had me drive the stang first then we went for a spin in a used 03 wrx and sold me on it. Could resist the handling and awd after losing control on a wet road

A few days later I came back to purchase and they sold the car :-(. They had one brand
new 04 wrx that I bought and never looked back since.

One year later, same guy, sold me on an 04 sti while getting my oil changed...lol

I got into it when I was in high school watching the WRC on TV. I loved it then and finally got one last year after I could finally afford it and my SE-R Sentra was dying on me.... My boy finally goes"Dude, just get a WRX, you've been talking about one forever...."

I'm still a lad, but being an even "ladder" lad, I adored these cars and the Evo. I always had more of a soft spot for the Impreza though... it seemed less "technical" and more "raw" to me.

Just picked up a 2013 plasma blue Sti hatch limited and I love the crap out of it. But before that I had a 2011 wr blue wrx hatch also loved that car but always felt like I wanted the best so I kept the wrx for a year and a half and traded it in two weeks ago. What got me into Subaru's was I remember seeing them when I was a kid and always wanting one especially after going for a ride in a heavely modded bug eye that my friends sisters friend owned. The first car that scared the **** out of me and stuck me to the seat. Ever since then I have always been a subi fan and to think I almost brought a evo mr.

After a few 240sx I wanted a AWD drive car. Went to look at Evo's and lancers. They wanted way to much for any model that was AWD. So I test drove now my 09 wrx and fell in love left with it 45mins after that test drive.

I became a fan when the '02 WRX hit the states. I remember seeing my first in person when I was in college. A fellow student had a WRB sedan. I dreamed of owning one someday. I couldn't afford one at the time, so I picked up a '99 Civic Si and got the mod bug. I finally got a good paying job and put a deposit down on a '04 STI. In the meantime I picked up a '00 Outback Sport as a daily driver for when the STI came in. I made the first allocation of STI's. From that point I was hooked. I have since owned 4 WRX's. My dad used to drive a couple Subaru's and my parents recently picked up an XV Crosstrek. I got my fiance hooked as well. She had a '11 Legacy and a few weeks ago traded it in for a '13 Impreza Sport 5-door.

Had 2 1999 civic si's stolen 3 months apart, wanted to get an RSX Type-S but decided to get the hell away from Hondas. This girl at school had a WRX, loved it so I went and looked around and ended up getting a 2002 wrx.

My wife wasn't comfortable in my 1999 Civic Si. I had test driven a 1999 RS when I bought the Civic and just wasn't all that impressed. Went out and drove the 2002RS and liked it enough to trade the Civic. In 2003, we decided to give the kids car to my eldest son for making it to his senior year in college. Went to look for a new car for my wife and she ended up stealing my RS...I got a new WRX wagon...Blah, blah, blah.

Funny story. I had always hated Subarus when I was younger. I liked very few imports (still not that many) and I always hated that the ones that I fixed at work were 250k mile rust buckets. My old roommate was a Subaru tech, and he always tried to talk me into looking at a WRX. I bought an ION Redline, and started auto crossing. It was classed with 2.5rs and other NA Subaru's. after losing to a kid driving his 2.5rs wide open in first gear, bouncing off the limiter on every straight, I decided to finally look into one. I almost bough one, decided to wait, and then decided to return that friday to buy it. Mine got traded into the Chrysler dealer I was working for that Thursday, and I bought it the next day. Loved it ever since.

It was a long debate lol. Im bored so I'll get Into detail lol. I was always into car racing games on playstation when I was like 3 or 4 back in 1997 1998. Always Into cars just loving them. I saw the fast and the furious and was obsessed (who wasn't?) then I saw 2 fast 2 furious and this is where it all began.

I saw Brians r34 and fell inlove, being 9 years old, seeing anything cool always grabs your attention. I became obsessed with pretending to drive stick Everytime I sat down. Fast forward to 7 years later, I became really into cars when I was goin through some personal stuff. I got introduced again Into civics from an older close friend.

I was working with him and he showed me a 99 rs 2 door in the street that was parked, it was stock and he turned and said to me "yo that's my favorite car, put a Wrx motor in that and youll be out". Ever since that day I thought about a Subaru and getting one when I got my license, I was still 16 at the time back in winter 2011.. it was a whole debate from around January-August 2011 before I bought my 02 Wrx. It was either a Wrx or a rsx type s.. My friend got a 2011 Wrx hatch and I fell inlove with the speed, handling and everything. I met his cousin at a car meet about a week or 2 after he got his hatch. And a week after meeting his cousin I bought my Subaru..

Almost 2 years after owning my bugeye I've had more downtime then up and running but, there's something about it that makes me wanna keep it as I am now. Either get another Wrx or a Sti, or a 240 with a RB swap, or a Honda and get it robbed

Have been attracted to Subarus since first seeing the "BRAT". It was a unique looking automobile and always wondered what the AWD logo was, because I was still young and had no concept of all-wheel-drive. Once I did realized what all-wheel-drive was, it became even more interesting that such a fairly low-profile pick-up had that type of an automotive engineering system. I ultimately knew that I didn't want a 4x4 or even an SUV. But I WAS fascinated by an AWD car!
I became familiar with rally-car racing and how dominant Audi had become with their Quarttro since 1980. That led to me getting a B6-S4. I was consumed by how the car handled in wet, loose-gravel, muddy or snowy conditions. The German engineering however, comes with a price! I slowly began to realize that I wasn't really acting my wage($$$) with the S4 as the German make can get pricey. I always admired the WRX model and its mutated sibling STi even when I had the S4. WRX-STi's are unique without question and held their own on the rally circuit. So I knew their AWD system had to be a formidable force. I dumped the S4 and saved my pennies and was considering the 2010 STi "Special Edition", but wasn't sold on the hatch, it reminded me of a Mazda-5 too much(YUCK!). I then considered a MY2011 Forester XT-Sport, but found out that Subaru would be re-issuing a sedan MY2011. I said WHOA I GOTTA SEE THAT, because Subaru for some reason shet-canned the sedan in 2007. MY2006/2007 were the BOMB!
once I caught a glimpse of the new 11-sedan I automatically copp'd it in October of 2010 and the rest is history(not to mention the mods).........

Had an 04 civic si hatch that was approaching 100k. Decided to go new car shopping. Had a few basic requirements:
- hatchback
- turbo
- 6 speed

Test drove an MS3 first, followed by an STI. Then drove to a Mitsubishi dealer.. Test drove an Evo X MR and GSR. Immediately bought my GR.

Had an aunt give me her "used up" '97 outback limited with 200k miles on it, when I was in high school. Fixed some issues with it and ran it till over 300k miles, driving it like a rally car. There wasn't any question what my next car was going to be.

Integra, accident, Mitsubishi dealer playing games, learned about BRZ, being told by local Subaru dealer that the waiting list was filled to past 2015 for the BRZ, test drove 2012 Impreza, told the 2013 Imprezas were in port waiting to be released, SOLD!

(in that order )

Still waiting to see if I fit in a BRZ (ideally, I'd like to test drive one).

I first heard of Subaru rally from Gran Turismo. I test drove (little entertainment for my friends and I back in the day) a new WRX in 03 with a buddy and wanted one ever since. It only took me 7 years to get my first WRX

I was a Honda guy then a volvo guy. Then with the way ford destroyed volvo I looked around for the most power for money I could find and that was an 06 Sti. I loved that car. Now I have an 08 lgt spec b and I love it even more.

My car history is as follows:

83 honda accord
84 honda accord
91 honda civic
84 volvo 760t. That car was a real sleeper
96 volvo 850r 250hp and a lot of fun.
98 volvo v70r. Upgraded ecu to 300bhp. Very quick and fun. But the repair bills absolutely drank money.
06 wrb Sti. Stage 2
12 Toyota Tacoma TRD off road. I thought I wanted a truck but I missed the enjoyment of driving. I traded it in at a very small loss.
08 lgt spec b. Just went stage 2. Perrin 25mm sways front and back. Handling is incredible. Better than the Sti in my opinion.

My former boss had all kinds of nice cars (87 Vette, 04 Vette, 09 Vette Z06, 91 Syclone, 87 Cutlass Supreme (heavily modded) 80-something Trans-Am (heavily modded), 03 Grand Cherokee (daily) including an 04 STi in WRB that was primarily his wife's car. He was a little lazy, and often handed me the keys to whatever he drove that day to go put $20 worth of gas in it. Don't know what he had against filling his tank.

I always loved the look of the STi, and on my birthday one year I got the keys to it and a $20 bill. "Don't crash it. Shift when it beeps." he told me. After that short 20 minute drive, I knew I had to have one, and became a fan of Subaru.

When the time came to get a new (to me) car months later I bought the first Subaru I've ever owned. A 1995 Legacy L wagon 5-speed. That car made me further fall in love with the brand... and wagons!

Fast forward a couple of years. The 300,000 mile Legacy was starting to really show its age and beginning to nickle and dime me to death. Time for a new car. I didn't have to search long until I found a dealer with a pair of 2004 WRX's for sale. Same price, same mileage, same overall condition, same color. I just had to choose sedan or wagon. Went with the wagon and I've never looked back. Been a love affair ever since.

I've got no intention of ever getting rid of this car. But I'm keeping my eyes open for the right Legacy, Outback or Forester to pop up for sale as a daily/winter beater.
