Default Magnaflow or no?

Just a quick question on exhausts, im looking to get a full TBE and was wondering if magnaflow is a good buy or not? For the price I got quoted it seems good but are they crap quality or pretty decent. Ive been looking at all my options, invidia, greddy, perrin, but i want to hear some input from someone who daily drives with one on there 08 wrx.

I had absolutely no problems with quality when I had it on my old LGT, was very good infact. I also have a cat back on my work truck from them, and again great quality.

Magnaflow does not make a downpipe, so whatever TBE you pick is just using a magnaflow muffler.

I'm rockin a magnaflow catback (single exit) with a catless Indvidia dp. Absolutely love it. It's nice and rumbly, puttering around town but not too loud. When you get on it you can definitely here the internal wastegate dump. Excellent quality too.

I've got a Magnaflow dual exit cat back on my 2011 sedan with an invidia castless DP. I love the way it sounds but everyone says it's kind of loud. It has definitely gotten louder after 20k miles on it. Some days on the highway it's not so bad but other days at above 70mph it's like being inside a helicopter. Not a problem if you mostly ride alone and listen to loud music anyways. And the quality seems to be fine, it's got a few spots of surface rust but I live in salty upstate NY. Also cold morning start ups it rattles the house.

I would have to say that Magnaflow is probably one of the best out there. They're quality is second to none, they perform, and they are the only exhaust company I know of that has a lifetime warranty.

Also don't forget they have a lifetime warranty! The guys at Magnaflow are really good guys too. I know a few of them from my previous job.

Go to your local BAIC forum and visit or organize a local car meet to actually hear exhausts in person. An exhaust is an exhaust....even a ghetto $9 eBay exhaust will bolt up, fit, and work for the life of your car. What you need to concern yourself with is how loud it is and if you are comfortable with that level of noise as that's the #1 reason for selling an exhaust....it's too loud.

Do not rely on "reviews".
Do not rely on "opinions".
Do not rely on youtube videos.

Rely on your own damn ears as all the above have 9 levels of suck. If you can't talk/visit with locals, then call a quality NASIOC vendor that sells multiple lines of exhausts and say "I want a loud, medium, or quiet exhaust for my car" as applicable and have faith that their ears and experience will ensure you make the right choice.

I've got a custom catback with a magnaflow resonator and muffler, it sounds great. Good but not to loud. At the risk of sounding immodest, I think I've got one of the best sounding subies out there.

I will check that out, the local meets ive been to dont have many wrxs running the magnaflow, everyone ive seen has Invidia. I didnt mean to say I want opinions of the sound quality, I was more concerned with the build quality. Ive never ran magnaflows on any of the cars ive had, I wanted to make sure they wouldn't crack or break after a few months of daily driving it, I was really just checking to see if they are a good buy.
