Default Guy in a sliver/grey ?2.5rs? taking pictures of my house

It happened around 11:30 today, off birch near Huffman. Wife and I were in the basement with the lights off looking at something when the car stopped in front of the house, dude rolled down his window and took a picture(s) with his phone, then drove off. The cars were in the garage and the lights were off, so he must have assumed we weren't home. I'm a little worried about his intentions since we're on a secluded dead end road and I have a 26' car trailer, river boat, four wheeler, and some other stuff sitting in the driveway.

The snow bank blocked the plate, the driver looked like a bigger guy with a short beard. I have no knowledge of older models, but it looked like a 98+ 2.5rs with a hood scoop and wingless trunk. Does it sound familiar to anyone? I'd like to figure out what the guy was doing.

My wife tell me the car was black, and the driver had dark hair and darker skin, maybe native.

Were you able to tell it was a 2.5rs because of the scoop? did you also see it have 2.5RS wheels? The color, was it a darker silver/ dark grey? I know of 1 Impreza with a 2.5RS front end conversion w/ 2.5RS wheels that was custom painted a non factory Subaru color. this was a sedan?

If the discription matches the above it must be my buddy Ed. He is a bigger guy with a beard and a Impreza sedan with a custome dark grey paint job w/ 2.5RS front. Highly doubt theres any other dark grey sedan out there. I would not be concerned with anything, hes a very nice guy. Most likely he took a picture of the house for the color it was painted?

I have in my head that the car was grayish, my wife swears up and down it was black. I was thinking rs because of the scoop, yes, I didn't pay any attention to the wheels. We only saw it for 5-10 seconds, I was more focused on what the driver was doing than the car.

Watch your things closely. Keep an eye out over the coming days. Sounds very much like he was casing your place. A home security system with HD cameras is a wise investment in your future. They are on sale at costco. You have things that people want. Be ready, willing, and able to protect them within the boundaries of the law. Best of luck to you. I've had so many things stolen from me over the years. I despise thieves in all forms. God help the one I catch.

While one hates to make ASSumptions, unless you have an architecturally interesting house, had it painted some very odd color or design, or have some really intriqueing garden, then I'd tend to agree with the "casing" arguement.

I have been investigating some camera systems for my place. (actually purchased some sensing flood lamps as well)
