Default vf22 on 160k miles?

so im thinking about buying a vf22 and runing 850cc dw's, grmspd bcs, hallman mbc, big tmic and a walboro fp, but im skeptical about this setup because of 160k on my stock motor.

My secondary thoughts, td04 PnP, grmspd bcs, hallman mbc, and big tmic.
- I feel this one is safer because of miles

Im looking for a happy medium between a good auto cross set-up and big power.
-350 whp(ish) is my goal eventually.

Opinions?..

Blue.

Seriously no one will be able to tell you. Do a leak down and compression test and go from there.

Fwiw there are alot of 200k+ miles semi big turbo wrxs. I would be alot more worried about past maintenance being done properly than mileage. Plenty of motors fail with td04 turbos at less than 100k. Many have 300+whp with way more miles than you.
Great tune on a maintained motor would go well past 200k.

I have done a few high milage upgrades (vf39's vf48's) If the motor tests good why not? 350 whp good luck on that.

Read post two. If you autocross, more power will make you go slower, so pick your battles. A vf22 will not get you 300 let alone 350 so focus your goals as we don't care about eventual, we care about immediate.

Its nice to see all these High mileage upgraded turbo WRX's. Mine is stage II at 193,1xx currently. I'm not doing anything else to it until I get a built block.
