Default Exedy Organic Stage 1 non HD vs HD

So after looking around I think my car just needs a stage 1 clutch however there is even apparently a difference between the stage 1 clutch.

I'm honestly not sure what toque my car is running at. I'm running a v39 in a 2.0 and hitting about 21 PSI under max throttle although that was before the clutch started going. I bought it about 10k miles ago, and it was already starting to go when they tuned it they had to back it off because of clutch slip. They got it to around 269 whp. I don't honestly plan to do anymore engine modifications the E-85 in my area is horrid, I suppose I might get a G18, but that's way down the road.

The car is at 144k before any flaming on my use of the clutch I think it might be on it's second clutch although like I said not 100% sure.

Has a really good price on their non HD looks like it's holding about 278 vs the HD holding 319.

I suppose the HD goes for 70-80 more any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

did you ever find out what the difference is, other than higher torque rating?
I have a somewhat stock 05 STI, but i'm always beating on it... making videos for Youtube where I made my money on ads for this new clutch ... the non HD seems to handle the stock torque... but I would think something with higher torque would handle the abuse... let me know. thanks.

stock will handle both of your cars just fine, and not ruin the OP's 5-speed

cheers

my stock clutch was fine until I got the COBB state 2 map. I dumped the clutch a few times... possibly 3 times where at the third time the clutch spun but the car didn't move right away... therefore previously I dumped the clutch a bunch of times on dry pavement on the stock setting and had no issues... but once I gave it more power, the clutch went dead... i'm afraid to put a stock one and it's only going to last a couple of months.
I rather upgrade the stock exedy OEM clutch to state 1 if I have the chance, but wondering the difference of the HD... is the pedal much harder to push? chattering? i'm leaving the fly wheel alone.

If you're dumping the clutch you're going to wear it out either way.
