Default Whoops

I am in the middle of building my motor so I took the wife's car to auto cross. The car did great but the next day there was a big cloud of smoke. Now I am building two engines and the wife is not happy. Whoops

You must have quite a few dollars if a motor rebuild only results in a "whoops". I'll give you my paypal, I can use a few extra bucks.

You should always have a second motor, ready to go, in the garage...

Better yet, don't compete with the car you depend on as your DD. Never a good idea. (Especially when it belongs to the better half.)

My wife is wonderful and said very little. I do have a few more cars so we aren't walking. my other build is a hybrid. So just whoops. Oh I am not made of money but I do a lot of this stuff. I build a couple of cars each year.

Tell us the specifics about the car, mods and miles, and tell us how it blew up ( driving right up to when it blew and what blew)

The wife probably blew the motor the next day street racing Hondas in a school zone and is just blaming it on the Auto-X.

Hey! Subiefest is right around the corner. Bring a couple of the other cars to the auto-x course. What's another engine build or two on top of the two you're doing now?

^^^^I will be at subiefest with the wrx and the new build, won't be racing it though i will still be breaking it in. The forester had 170k on it with a pnp vf48, dw 740's. perrin elh, sti tmi, gm ebcs, spt intake and exhaust, helix catted down pipe and a walbo pump. It did fine at auto cross, It drove home fine, It started up the next day with a little smoke but cleared up. the next time i started it it was missing, smoking and would not run. Raw fuel and oil coming out of the exhaust. 2, 3 and 4 cyl miss fire. Turbo is ok.
