Apparently internet connections are lost on you guys. Torrents are your friend, and if not that, livestreams, and if not that, go to the freaking races! There is almost no excuse for missing what you wanna see other than "My job is on weekends, because I work in a ****ty industry"

What he said I torrent ELMS, WTCC, BTCC, ALMS, F1, V8 Supercars, Le Mans, WRC, Blancian (sp?) Endurance series and the now defuct FIA GT1 and GT3.

My wife hates motorsports now.

What about "I'm narcissistic, and I want to see myself on TV"?

I'm pretty sure that our second pit stop on the 96 CTSCC car will make it to the on-air broadcast of the race from CotA, tomorrow at 4:00 PM ET on SPEED, where I hope to have my jack man abilities on display for all to see.

PS: all the Grand-Am Rolex and CTSCC race live streams go up on Grand-Am's website after teh initial TV broadcast at http://www.grand-am.com/GRANDAMTV.aspx

I have to do motorsports all day and when I get to the hotel I want to relax by watching more motorsports. Have you ever tried to download things at a hotel with high speed internet? When they advertise high speed internet they mean 56.5k as opposed to 56k. Anyway I use all that up because I have to send info OUT about motorsports on the high speed internet. It would be nice if they could put motorsports on TV channels that normal human beings can watch. BTW I am not talking about NASCAR.

Good riddance. Sad to see the occasional sports car racing series and F1 go, and I'm also a fan of Stacey David's Gearz and Pass Time, but they can't seriously expect to stay in business airing Nascar pre-race, Nascar post-race, Nascar race hub, Nascar top 10, Nascar trackside, late night with Nascar, etc etc.

I deploy for 6 months at a time (sometimes 7 ), and even when I'm home I still torrent the coverage. it's nice being able to sift through the BS and watching it on my schedule.

It's all about priorities, man!

Haven't watched Speed in a dog's age anyway. I hate watching sports on TV - yes, even driving ones. They just get so boring after awhile for some reason, even stuff like F1 and ALMS. But that's just part of my personality; repetition tends to bore me.

Between the Drive network, Fast Lane Daily, and The Smoking Tire, (all on youtube; subscribe if you have not because you're seriously missing out) my car show fix is well-covered. FLD's got the news going, Drive brings sports highlights/roundups and a whole ton of interesting content (Inside Koenigsegg, Tuned, Chris Harris On Cars, etc.), and The Smoking Tire brings excellent new-car reviews.

Oh, and can't forget those Streetfire uploads of Top Gear UK . Learned tonight that apparently the source of the Nile is a puddle... who'd-a thunk it?!

I did appreciate the fact Speed had motorsports and some car related shows, but there coverage was (understandably for the $$$) geared towards NASCAR which I don't watch. Any shows they did have, as others have mentioned above, are crap compared to what the Drive network, Motor Trend, and other youtube based networks are doing for the car/motorcylcle enthusiast community. The people up at FOX live in the stone age when it comes to innovative programming solutions.

This new channel will most likely be yet another ill timed attempt at FOX to compete with ESPN, CBS new 24hr sports network, & NBC's sports network that will be carrying F1 this weekend.

I love watching F1, most any endurance racing, and obviously some WRC. All of these I find at MY convienence on torrents with higher quality commentating than was ever available on SPEED.

SPEED, you will not be missed...

SPEED actually has the Sebring broadcast, it starts at 10:30 AM on Saturday, and they have 8 1/2 hours of coverage throughout the day.

Rutledge Wood is apparently taking the Fox Sports 1 news badly:

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
Police in Charlotte are investigating after a naked man reportedly broke into the SPEED network early Monday morning and ransacked the building.

According to an employee, police were called out to the building along the 1200 block of West W.T. Harris Blvd in Charlotte Monday morning.

That's where police say a man, wearing no clothes, broke into the building.

The man reportedly started tearing down papers on the wall.

He then was able to gain entry into the rest of the building where he began to ransack the office. He reportedly dumped trash cans onto the floor and knocked down trophies, breaking them.

That is when employees and police say the man ran out of the building, still naked, and ran down W.T. Harris Boulevard.

An employee told WBTV the man was later caught. A SPEED security guard offered the man a jacket to cover up.
