Have a Nice Day? 06 STi Transmission Swap into 03 WRX - Sensors

Ok, I have been searching this for quiet awhile but I can't find any solid answers. Please don't flame me if there is a thread I didn't find.

I purchased an 06 6-speed I'm going to be swapping into my car (03 WRX). All the mechanical stuff I am 100% confident about, but the various sensors I am unsure about.

Speed Sensor
-The 6MT is currently missing this, so can I reuse my 03 5-speed's? Or is there something different about the 6MT speed sensor/transmission speed gear?

Neutral Position Switch
-My 6MT already has one of these. I'm really surprised is not covered in the extensive master swap list for 6-speeds. I have found some random old threads about the 6MT's neutral switch being a reverse logic when compared to the WRX's 5-speed. Is this true? If so can I use the 5-speed's neutral switch to fix it? or is this a reversal in logic in the transmission itself as far as mechanical mechanism?

-I know people have had problems with cruise control if their neutral switch doesn't work, but I don't have cruise control anymore, so if that's the only problem I am going to run in too if I don't have it working correctly, I'm not worried about it. I can disable the CEL with RomRaider.

Reverse Light Switch
-The 6 speed has this in it already, I'm assuming this will work as is.

Some other random info, I am still using my 03 WRX harness. And I am using a V8 JDM STi ECU. I know all of the 5 speed sensors work with this ECU just fine.

I apologize if I left something out, or if I'm being stupid and completely missing something, my brain is a bit fried at this point trying to look for answers.

any help is appreciated

Please quantify "quiet(sp) awhile"

You can use the VSS from your 5MT. The sensor itself is the same p/n between the WRX and STI.

There is literally a crap-ton of accurate info on the NPS sensor, you did not look very hard. There is no difference in the operation of the transmission internals, the issue is a pairing of the NPS function and the ECM strategy.
It is possible to reuse the NPS sensor from your 5MT. Harness length is a bit different but you can make it work.

An incorrect NPS can cause other problems aside from Cruise Control. If you are going to all this work for the 6MT swap why not just get the NPS sensor correct while you are there?

Yes.
