I don't think the tan was even an option in Canada. Although the car is the same, the standard equipment and trim was drastically different for no apparent reason, go figure lol

Well my car took some abuse this winter from all the fun on the ice. and I clipped the rear bumper during one of my "outings" this being from the filming of Part 3

It was zip-tied up until it was welded back. Hence the holes in the upper right corner of the crack

So now that it has slightly warmed up here I decided to do a temporary fix until I get home in Niagara where I have the proper tools/paints waiting

Step 1 was to plastic weld it back together

Step 2 was to use fibreglass and epoxy to reinforce the back side (on top of the plastic welding)

Step 3 Then used a flexible filler to smooth out the outside

Step 4 sand it flush

Step 5 prime and paint with generic white paint (until I get home to finish/paint it properly)

more progress/ better quality fix in a month so stay tuned!

I was always on the fence about these, as The lights dont look bad on white at all. on the other colours it can be a bit of a sore spot. So i decided to do some vinyl and give it a try. If i dont like it, it is just vinyl, and off it comes no harm done.

better pics (Not in the garage lol) to come

it's just updates galore this weekend! In exchange for my labour a friend gave me a set of UR Rallyarmors with blue lettering! he has a 2012 sti and didnt want them anymore, which is obviously completely different mounting on my car. But I'm resourceful and found a way to get them all mounted up.

I really like what you've done with the car!

Does the CF Bayson-R wing fit well?

Yup, it fits perfectly. it doesn't use the aligning clips that the factory one does, but it is secured with 4 large bolts (same mounting as factory). It comes with the light but no washer nozzle (but it transfers over easily)

So heres another spurt of picture updates

Firstly got around to the "koji" mod as well as tinted side markers with a friend on their bugeye

Secondly I got ahold of a red stitched STi wheel from a friend who just upgraded to a GT-Spec D wheel

Called a meeting in the driveway

Then since the new tapturn relay also is designed to work with led's, I picked up some switchback led bulbs

Stock parking light

Stock turning light

New turning light

And still more to come, just waiting on parts in the mail stay tuned!!!

Wheel being installed

AND... Thanks to help from another friend and about 7 hours of our time dealing with wiring and distractions lol I did something quite unique, as in I have NEVER seen this done before

I have accent/puddle/curtesy lights now. These are wired to ONLY come on during unlock and door open. the fade on and fade off. and are on for about 15 seconds. all immediately turn off when the key is inserted and there is no way for them to come on at any other time.

multiple led's under the mirrors as puddle/curtesy lights

and a nice holographic subaru logo which acts as the curtesy footwell light only when the doors are open. (Not on when key is in, or driving) its distorted/ripped as it is projected onto the winter mats

Excuse the iPhone nighttime pictures lol

So as some of you may or may not know I am getting a 2nd cat-pipe delete fabricated. In order to accomplish this I need to send out the factory pipe in order for Mike at Rallisport Racing to have the proper point of reference to make the new piece. The planed piece will delete the cat and in it's place host a small vibrant bottle resonator (keep the rasp/drone away).

So with that being said here is the porn: Header on it's own

I tapped into the "cutesy" circuit for the dome light with the wires that run up the passenger a-pillar. I didn't take any pictures during the install so a text only right up wouldn't be very practical to anyone. I will say it took half a day and isnt hard for anyone that knows their way around a car/car parts and basic electrical. I'll break down the main steps

- remove door panels
- remove mirrors
- disassemble mirrors entirely
- drill holes for led's
- wire/mount/seal led's
- run wire through door grommet and back toward a-pillar
- connect to the curtesy circuit (green and blue wires if I remember correctly)

if you wanted you could tap into the other dome lamp circuit which would better fit your situation of having working light beside the car in the garage? so they would be switched on via the dome light switch?

Wow, everything done is very tasteful, me likey

I just picked up a 2008 OBP 2.5i Sport and am looking to start with a few things.

Outside of minor cosmetics that I've got the ball rolling on already (fog overlays, vinyl tail overlays, rear chrome piece to match), are there any mods that you would recommend as a good starting point?

Did the Whiteline 22mm rear anti-sway bar make a significant difference in handling? I've read that swapping a WRX OEM Rear Sway is also effective, any advice at all?

Keep doing what you're doing

First off THANKS!

Second, yes the whiteline bar made a massive difference and that is what I would suggest to any 2.5i owner as a MUST. I'm sure the wrx bar would be a big improvement. But here's my thinking; it is a small bar and once you feel the change you will want to go larger, so why not go large right from the beginning. Just the 22 rear bar on its own tightened up the entire car and it handled 100% different for the better. So that is what I recommend as a start, as that was my first real starting mod as well.

I am away right now but when I get back in a couple days I have some MAJOR updates to post up. Hint: rims, tires, tune...

So here is some MAJOR updates

Neetronics tuning:

Night and day difference I the feel of the car with all that newly gained low end torque!

So I was tuned for a full engine-back exhaust, hybrid intake, and 91 octane. I am the most powerful 2.5i he has tuned, even if it was by only 2 hp lol the tune is still conservative as it is my dd.

And…

Front test fit:
