Default 2002 Owner Forum Depression

I own a 2002 WRX Wagon and I am finding myself a bit depressed when meandering through the forums... Finding most of the links and pictures that are relevant to my car dead is sad times.

Does anyone else feel this way?

Not at all. I have an 03 wagon, everyone loves it.

If you are searching for mechanical help, the 02-07 are identical under the hood....

Bugeyed wagons are hot sauce, don't fret. Its not like some other years that look like tarted up Corollas.

So cheap, so many owners, so many variables for bugeyes. Don't destroy it, beat it, DO maintain it, you'll stay out of the dead car threads that way.

Just means yours is more desirable. I have to laugh a little every time some kid comes up to me saying how much he loves my "classic."

I remember when only pre-1969 was "classic."

Gratuitous Old Skool pic.

Let's put this in perspective:
You own a 227hp turbo charged awd wagon that is a blast to drive and looks like nothing else on the road all while carrying lawnmowers and mountain bikes in the hatch. AND as an added bonus, the Subaru community generally worships the holy bugeye, especially the sacred wagon.

What's the problem here?

I started feeling depressed when your car came out, because it brought an influx of honda owners to our quiet little site.

When I was looking for a WRX, I specifically wanted a bugeye WRX wagon. People don't understand why I wanted one or why I bought one but then they see you basically never get stuck in the snow or they see how fun of a car it is drive and start to understand. It may not be the best looking or fastest car on the road, but there's something about bugeye WRX's that I just love.

Don't feel so down. I have an 04 STi and I had been feeling depressed about it being "old" and such. However, a lot of people here have been making strong points. It is unique looking, a lot of the newer cars all look the damn same. I personally love the bug eye look. So just ask yourself, if you got rid of it or it died from not keeping up with maintenance, would you regret it?
