Default who's engine is this?

hey guys i've got a sti2.5 w/ 2.5 heads (avcs), pistons i can see the front of engine arrow through the spark plug hole, (aftermarket) aftermarket rods (manley i'm told) and i think an aftermarket crank, since most of it is black??!

anyhow it surely has a history on this board, pics to come, lmk if anyone knows it's specs. going into a fmic bugeye w/ my old ra trans in it.

When did you get it? I built an engine matching the description last year, the LGT it was in was totaled out last month.

friend in seward bought it, i'm putting it in his car.

also heads up,

gonna need some 2.5 avcs style valve covers, an 11mm+ oil pump, and some tgv deletes. hit me up please

edit... and maybe headers and a header compatible oil pan, i.e. 2.5 sti style

Yeah I traded a dirt bike for it year before last. I got it from some one at the Palmer track...

Jerry, the crank is probably a nitride treated sti crank. Its like 2008-11 I think they made them black like that.
Sounds like a fun build.

Yes, the 2008-2011 sti cranks were nitrited for strength. The 2012 sti cranks are heat tempered, and have a "rainbow" heated metal look to them.




The Subaru Part # for this Heat Treated Crank is 12200AA330, superseded from the 12200AA430 which was Nitride Treated.
