I'd love to run my car somewhere other than 5400' elevation for a change.

I already go called out on facebook for it but I highly doubt that I take off the time to make the hike (27 hours each way) out for this with my time already dedicated to the track car events

Bump for a great organization led by a great gentleman.
Glad to see you're still in the action Ali. Greetings from the family. Wish we could make it out there. Never been to Vegas.
But hey! This event sounds like tons of fun. I'm sure it'll turn out great as do all the events you're involved with.
Keep up the good work and hope to see you soon...when you're a bit closer to home. Ha!Ha!!

Good times!

I'm not a fast Suby but I'd be willing to turn up the boost and drive out the Vegas for a day of fun. What classes would you have for the not so serious drag racer on street tires.

Outlaw rules I think. Looks like ifo rules don't over ride the track rules. This could be a show stopper for some fast street cars. I have no intention of caging my car but it traps 138+ at altitude.

exactly. im not sure how you still manage to get on track up there. around here 125 or 11.5 and you need a cage.

maybe we can go for 1/8ths. that way we cant get kicked for cages

that is pretty much at any nhra track 11.5 and quicker 4pt cage, iirc 10.99 or quicker 6pt,and 9.99 or quicker 10pt.And from what I have heard the tracks are going to be stricter than ever this year,NHRA has spies out at the tracks and if safety rules are not enforced NHRA will pull their sanctioning and events from said track. Also has a lot to do with the tracks insurance policy. So pretty much be prepared to get booted if your car is faster than 11.5 and not caged.

I hear ya that cage rule is why I never really got to turn mine up from 29-30 psi, make 1 good pass at that level and bamm you get booted and blacklisted from all the local NHRA tracks.

Usually it's 11.49 and faster is 6 or 8 point roll bar down to 10.00. 9.99 and faster you need a cage whether it's 8, 10, 12 point doesn't matter. They are all good to 8.50. Parachute for 150+.

^^^ok and iirc the rollbar still has to be welded in or bolted to large plates that are welded in right?

Has to be welded completely. Usually 6x6 plates are welded to the floor, main hoop welded to them. Back bars and door bars are welded to the main hoop and plates also. Anything with a bolt involved beyond door bar swing outs isn't legal for anything.
