Hi Guys!!
I am back!! Finally the cobb engine was recevied on time, they put in a new crankshaft, one rod and bearings, I have almost all ready to rumble!! but I need the torque sequence for my heads as tomorrow is saturday and all my subaru dealers friends are closed, and my manual is borrowed... well, I need as fast as you can, the heads torque sequence... I got already the information from Austin, who posted a valuable info, but was for DOHC, maybe theu are the same, but I donīt want to take the risk!! Would the torque sequnce for a MY01 work? If so I'll check alldata for you.

B: INSTALLATION
1. CYLINDER HEAD Install cylinder head and gaskets on cylinder block. CAUTION: Use new cylinder head gaskets. Be careful not to scratch the mating surface of cylinder block and oil pump. Tighten cylinder head bolts. Apply a coat of engine oil to washers and bolt threads. Tighten all bolts to 29 Nm (3.0 kgf-m, 22 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence. Then tighten all bolts to 69 Nm (7.0 kgf-m, 51 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence. Back off all bolts by 180°first; back them off by 180°again. Tighten bolts (a) and (b) to 34 Nm (3.5 kgf-m, 25 ft. lbs.). Tighten bolts (c), (d), (e) and (f) to 15 Nm (1.5 kgf-m, 11 ft. lbs.). Tighten all bolts by 80 to 90° in alphabetical sequence. CAUTION: Do not tighten bolts more than 90° . Further tighten all bolts by 80 to 90° in alphabetical sequence shown. CAUTION: Ensure that the total "re-tightening angle" [in the former two steps], do not exceed 180°. Install camshaft. Install valve rocker assembly. Install A/C compressor bracket on cylinder head. Install intake manifold. Install crankshaft sprocket. Install camshaft sprocket. Install timing belt assembly. Install crankshaft pulley. Install V-belt. |
