Default The Plasti Dip thread

Didn't see one here so I figured I'll start one up. Post some pics of your Plasti Dipped cars or wheels or whatever part.

Here's a pic of mine that I did this weekend, I'm sure there's better ones out there.

02 OBS with WRX front end painted matte black.

If you have deep knicks and scratches lay those areas thick first just don't let it run, then go over everything evenly. It lays down thicker than paint so it is pretty forgiving on light scratches and rock chips like on the front bumper.

Did you use rattle cans or paint sprayer??

I'm going to do my whole car, but in doing it piece by piece or section by section.

Wheels are also dipped.

Not to sound like a dick but you don't need to quote the people right above you and their images making everybody look at them 2 times in a row.

I had my kayaks fly off my roof rack after being cut off and having to make evasive maneuvers leaving my car with a bunch of small scratches on the roof and down the sides of the car. Instead of spending the $4000 in insurance money to repaint both sides Im gonna plastidip it in the spring. Procar kit on dipyourcar.com is only $300.

I think plasti dip is good for flat colors. When trying to get a good gloss you need to sand and recoat and polish. There's a reason why painting car costs so much. The labor sucks!! But a flat black is always a good option!!

PLASTI DIP FTW(temporarily)

Has anyone tried tire shine on plasti dipped wheels? Did it have the same effect on the rubbery plasti dip as tires?
