Default Subaru service B

It ended up costing me $350 for the 20000km maintenance at the dealer. Last time i am going there for regular maintenance for sure, it will be oil change at home from now on.

Damn, that's a ripoff, you can pretty much do those on your own. Just wondering how much the dealer charges just to check the car when it's under warranty.

It says a wheel alignment is recommended, but I doubt they did it, even if you needed one.

EDIT: Does it say recommended because they recommend the owner pay for it? On top of the service fee???

stuff like checking diff fluids, removing and inspecting brakes, test coolant, would be nice if they actually did that stuff. But in two hours i bet all they managed to do was change the oil and make the checkmarks on their clipboard.

How nice of them to include a road test. "Yes please take my car for a spin and beat the hell out of it. "

What did they do for the 2.3 hours labor? You got raped, no way around it. Around here the oil change and the recommended tire rotation is about $90 USD and that includes everything including the taxes. Surprised that they did not rotate your tires and change the Engine and Cabin air filters. Not sure what the "Brake Clean" item is - maybe that is akin to replacing the muffler bearings.

Lol, i told them not to rotate the tires cuz i had just removed my winter tires the week before and done the rotation on the stock tires myself. A least if they had bought me dinner first i wouldn't feel so bad...

Not sure what a brake clean is. I guess pad material can build up on the rotors, but still.

I don't see more than 40 minutes of labor, and that's if they're dragging ass.

My guess is that "brake clean" is what they charged to spray some brake cleaner on the pads. Whoop de doo.

When I do a brake preventive maintenance, I remove the pads, the carriers, and I clean and grease the slider pins. I doubt they did all of that.

I want to know what "sanding disk" is.
