Default Opinion wanted: Forester Grill

Ok, so yeah, I'm on the "older" side of the average NASIOC population, so my tastes may be old fashioned. I grew up in the 80's and 90's, so there was a lot of neon and pastels back then, and we really thought they looked good. I don't want to be "that guy" though, so please, let me know your opinion.

I'm thinking of getting rid of the orthodontist-approved chrome grill on my black '10 FXT. All but the last of my sample pictures omit the hood scoop.. but it's there.... Do you think I should:

Chrome/Stock/Braces look:

Bottom painted:

All painted:

Carbon grill (keep in mind the FXT is black):

Sport grill:

I like the all painted look with the badge smoked, or if you wanted to go therough the work clean the back of the badge and paint the blue part black.

I'm older-ish and I would go for the Subaru sports grill.

Sport grill, or paint the carbon grill to color match your car so the emblem is removed.

I've seen that and I'd love to do it; especially with the sport grill's mesh look. I think the custom shroud for my intercooler won't work with it

Logically I'd think it would still work, but it might need to be fab'd a little. I'll take a look.

Great idea!

Grillcraft looks great but if that is not a viable option then either the Sport grill or the CF.
If you get the CF and don't have any other pieces that would match you could always paint it black.

I am wondering now.. if I did get the Grillcraft, should it be in silver instead of black? Might be too easy to miss if it was black. Hmm... maybe paint it RED. That would look kinda mean.... and kinda like Knight Rider... maybe not...

Too 80's I say keep it black and clean - the people that recognize it for what has been changed will admire and those who don't notice can continue being oblivious

The Grillcraft will work with your PW TMIC--the shroud doesn't affect where/how you mount the grill. I know because I have the full 3-piece Grillcraft setup with the PW on my '09.

Good to know, thanks!

I'm curious, 3 piece? I can only find the hood scoop grill.
