Default Test Cobb ACCESSport features

So I was wondering if anyone has done what I would like to try to do, if possible.

So I am interested in seeing the true performance increase on my WRX. Right now its stock in exception to a K&N Panel Air Filter.

So I just purchased the Cobb AccessPort and a Grimspeed Up Pipe. From my understanding one of the features on the AP is a dyno feature which will display HP/TQ, etc.

Now after reviewing the installation instructions, do I HAVE to install the preset map before I can use some of the tools and features of the AP?

What I want to do is use the Dyno feature to clock my power without the map and without the Up pipe.
Then I want to install the Up Pipe and run the dyno feature again.
Then finally, implement the map from the AP and run a final dyno.

Is this possible? Has anyone done anything similar to this?

1. We have an entire AccessPORT forum and this ain't it. Engine management forum....get there.
2. You have not read the AP user guide fully.
3. Doing what you are planning is silly as a virtual dyno is not a real dyno so any gains you see are ficticous and mean nothing.
4. In future, know THEN buy, not the other way around.
