Default $65 Walbro pump?!

Can anyone confirm this "too good to be true" claim I saw online today? I could use a new pump :P

I'm not sure if its common knowledge, but I just learned this and thought I'd share... For anyone looking to upgrade their fuel pump, part number E2448 from advance auto is a repackaged walbro 255 under the name "airtex." The fuel pump itself is stamped walbro and flows 283lph. I just backed out the terminals on my stock fuel pump and crimped the terminals for the new "airtex" and was good to go.

I definitely believe it is.

*taken and confirmed from another forum*

However, there have been a few mixed reviews about it. Some say to stay away, and others say it's fine... but for the money, it's hard to go wrong!

$8?! or $84?, I'm confused....

because a walbro 255 is sub $100 to begin with... may not be worth the risk is "airtex" decides to go with a different OEM these days.
