I went with the STI after having a similar situation (STI VS. MS3). What helped me was contacting several out of state dealers (preferably larger dealerships) and getting their lowest price. Heuberger Motors in CO gave me the lowest price which I used to leverage my small dealership into a price for well below invoice. Check out Truecar.com as well for information specific to your area.

I almost traded in my LGT for a Focus ST ... but the thought of starting over a new financing loop wasn't really on my list of things to do. But I applaud Ford for the car what a fun little car to drive ... good job Ford.

I like it! Thanks for the awesome tip...occasional sarcasms aside, this community of folks is really helpful to someone like me just starting to get their feet wet with what is more than likely a lot of folks passion.

Lol, now bf is trying to sway me towards a used Forester XT...he's always wanted one, but I don't like the wanna-be SUV soccer mom look.

Rice high pressure steamed in olive oil and cajun/creole seasoning, fresh green beans with garlic butter and bacon, and polish kielbasa browned in olive oil with garlic, serrano and habernero peppers, and small cubed yellow squash. 15min somewhat healthy meal!

These cars have such a high cornering limits that one cannot properly evaluate them on the street save the occasional freeway on ramp taken at 3 times the posted limit. One can only do that when the ramp and car is well known to the driver...

A salesman on a test drive asked me to push it in a '08 STI for a comparison. I told him no. It was an open street, not an auto-X, race track, or hillclimb. It did have a nicer ride and more sound deadening than my stripper STi.
