Default Is XPT just a scam now?

I have been trying for days to contact Branden from XPT to get the definition file to be able to use the map that I have purchased to no avail.

I have sent messages on Linkedin, Facebook, Gmail, XPTTuning's website, etc and he has not responded to any in over 72 hours. Now I am stuck with a bill for $80 for a map that completely useless to me without the definition files.

Can anyone supply me with the defiinition files since XPT obviously does not want to support their product anymore?

If not, should I do a chargeback? I was sold an incomplete product which the developers do not want to be supported so I think I have good grounds to do so.

Has anyone else had a similar experience when using XPT in the last year or so?

I have seen some of the work from XPT first hand and their tunes are not very good. There was a thread here just the other day where a person was asking for help to get his XPT tune fixed as it was knocking significantly and not running very well overall. IMO, I would not use XPT as their work has been reported as problematic. Also, the person in the other thread was complaining about lack of support. I think he finally got the response but it took a while.

Which car do you have?

I got an 04 wrx, I bought the rom because I heard a lot of good things about it over the years, but oh well. I'll probably be filing a chargeback tomorrow.

If anyone can share the definitions file it would be appreciated.

Open the rom with a hex editor and change the id back to its original. Then it will open with normal defs.

I got one XPT map from 04 WRX. I tried changing the ID to every 04 id available (02,03, 05 too) and it opens but most tables are corrupted with wrong numbers, wrong order, etc. Any tips on how to fix that?? PM me if you can

Given that I've had them for a few years. They definitely get the job done for what they are. An OTS tune. Power has greatly increased and driveability in my 4eat was a world of a difference. In stock form I would have to really get into the gas in traffic so would have the power not to get hit. Lots of the tinge resulting in an awd burnout once the turbo kicked in. It's a one size fits all tune like Cobb so some adjustments are bound to be needed. But for the price you cannot beat it.

I contracted him over this weekend regarding the ecu def and he responded very quickly. I think it's like with most small businesses. Their resources and time is limited.

Or maybe they just have crappy customer service and support. There are other small operations on this site that have a much better customer service so it can be done.

Ive ran several xpt tunes over the past five years and give xpt/braden nothing but praise. Great customer service with afforable, reliable and more powerful ots maps than others available.

Default Is XPT still around?

I have a similar problem with not being able to get a hold of them after trying to email them several times. I see this is an older thread but dont know if anyone has used them lately.

I am currently dealing with Braden. He's a great dude, but customer service in regards to communication is hit and miss. Now I'm here looking for help instead.

Just wanted to say my experience with XPT mirrors the posters above me. Great maps, I have used the stage 2 and the stage 2 race map with the only issue being I had to modify my MAF scaling for the stage 2 race map. He normally takes 3-4 days to follow up via email.
