Default Coil Questions for 2.5RS

Quick question:
Does this car have a single or multiple ignition coil?
If single, where do I find the Negative terminal?
If multiple, does anyone know where the tach signal wire is?

Thanks

What year 2.5? It should have a coil pack type setup. It will have three wires. If memory serves me correct. One lead is the pos. lead or trigger lead, and the other two are negative leads that go to the two coils.

The tach signal.....I'm really not sure.....

If you're hooking up a tach you can use the trigger wire...
01RS has two coils in one housing that mounts on top of the intake. Two spark plugs fire at the same time.
What are you doing?

Thanks for the replies, I do have an 01 RS. I am hooking up a small shift light. It calls for a connection on the neg terminal on the coil or on the tach signal wire. Is it easy to tell the wires apart pnce I get there? Color coded etc?

You know..... now that I think about it... I think you have to go to the wire connected to the ecu because of the dual coils....

However, if you do a search, I'm sure somebody has done it!
