Default Solution for Huge STi trunk spoiler!

First off, I am not interested in anyone commenting about my lack of downforce from eliminating my STi spoiler, I will not be on the track or freeway at 120+ MPH most of the time, and I'll let my driving make up for my lack of traction at those speeds. Now for those of you out there who want a wingless trunk to get rid of your giant sti wing simply because it is huge and attracts way too much attention, I came up with an idea, or simply a temporary solution to cover up your 17 holes until you do find a wingless trunk. This took a good 4 hours, but I do have some experience with fiberglass. Here a few pics of the beginning stages.

That is a great idea. Strong work. This should go in the DIY sticky.

That looks really well done, I'd have to see it in person to see if I like it though. It reminds me of the saleen type mustang spoilers, which are all good but I'm not sure it works on our cars

Great job! Very nice looking.

When it rains, will water puddle on top of the trunk?

Good point. I know my limited lip & the STi wing has drain passages for this reason. Oh well, it probably won't cause too much problem, just will require a bit more cleaning now and then.

I know when i wash my car a lot of water is left on the bottom of the wing and against it, it looks like from your pictures that a lot will build up too. Its not a big deal just i use an extra towel!

I have always thought they should have this sort of wing on the wrx. Very similar to the "drifter" wing that they use on 240s. In different games that I've played that allow modification to the wrx, I've chosen this setup on it. Good job on making that happen in real life.
