Default odd ecu??

recently i purchased a jdm ver 3 ej20g motor for my 97 outback sport. i was researching megasqirt and opened up my ecu. what i found is different then the subaru ecu i am used to. it has another board on top of the primary board with 2 removable chips on it . what i was wondering is what are they used for? is it common on the 1s prova. i am very new to the forum thing i hope my picture will load thanks for any help[IMG][/IMG]

It is an aftermarket tune added to the stock ecu. If you are interested in selling it, send me a PM.

If you search around you will find there are a few options for EJ20G chip tunes.

the problem is i have no way of knowing what tune this ecu has. i have a late ej20g (3plug ecu) if you have a ver1-2 ej20g you are able to get a rob tune and from what i have read that is pretty awesome. i don't have that option. i am looking into esl and don't no if it will work with this ecu. i may sell it but i will give rob first option he could probably do some good with it. one more thing this ecu looks like it has the oem hardware still installed under the aftermarket is possible to switch tunes???
