Default alpine speakers

I was wondering if any body has installed some alpine 6.5s in the front doors of of an 02/03 wrx. Just looking for some advice, wondering how well they mount...etc.....

Type S or Type R?

Just worked on a customers 2004 WRX yesterday did a complete system. He opted for Alpine Type S (SPS610C) for the fronts. The speakers fit fine using the supplied spacers in the alpine box.

Can't chime in on fit, but I can say go with the Type R's, definitely worth the higher price IMO.
