yesterday on the WRX:
oil change
brake fluid change
swapped summer tires/wheels for winter tires/wheels

today on the Forester:
brake fluid change
tire rotation

switched from ATE Super Blue on the WRX to Motul DOT 5.1 since ATE isn't street legal anymore since (the only reason i can tell) it is died blue.

swapped the Forester's stock fluid with Motul 5.1 as well. man i had a lot of air in the passenger-rear line of the foz.

fixed a nice rattle in the engine bay. turns out I was missing the bottom most bolt on the heatshield. not sure if I forgot to put back in or if it shook itself out. Anyways all fixed now.

A mod I hadn't seen before courtesy of some anonymous ass:

I was wondering to myself how someone managed to back into that part of my car without damaging any other part of it, then I noticed a shoe print in the middle of the dent.

Whatever, it's back and the body shop did a good job of helping me forget about it. I've heard some horror stories about shops trying to replicate the SWP, and this one did well enough.

props to you for keeping your cool.. i would of f***ing lost it. I take it there weren't any security cameras in the area where you were parked? i'm sorry to see that man, glad that you got her back from the body shop and are satisfied with the work they did. karma will take care of whoever did that.. sooner or later

Last night I installed my DAMD steering wheel. I took my time, but it was pretty straightforward with all the FAQs/guides posted in this forum.

new shift knob, because the original was super worn out and grimy.

installed a used borla hush, which sounds great [i.e. is quiet]. and raised up my coilovers, despite looking dumb, out of necessity.

also replaced fog light bulbs with hella yellows.

No cameras in the area, and actually, my wife got a couple of leads. It's old Ellicott City, and we know everyone. I just didn't think it was worth it to hunt down someone who was enough of a child to kick a car; the chances were that they weren't likely to be adults about it later on.

The Zen part of me says I hope the person learned something, the part of me that loves my car says

New tires installed today. Now I just have to either find a place to rebuild my coilover or get some new ones. Apparently the top bearing went out and now it has a bit of free play and makes some nerve racking noises :/

Finally got the intake mani off. Deleted TGV's, installed Sti pinks, and put a new turbo inlet in. Now it's ready to bolt up to the new block.

Serpentine belt adjustment, now my p/s pump doesn't scream when I turn it. Found out how to do it here on Nasioc. Hope to do my clutch this weekend.

Got my sit center console in and was surprised I got sent more than I asked and also got the rear cup holder assembly that goes on the back of the center console. I'll be installing tomorrow and still need to find a 05 legacy coin tray from the center console. If anyone knows of one let me know

I dropped it off at the dealer. CEL and very rough idle when I started it this morning. Misfire code on all cylinders. I've had it a week... 2011 SWP WRX hatch.

Ordered the forester radio for my wrx, got another piece of my switchblade kit in, and ordered a nurburgring decal (not sure if that's going to look lame).
