Default Snow Tires

Anyone put their snows on yet?

Temps are getting pretty low at night and for the morning commute, and this upcoming nor'easter could drop a bit of frozen precip.

I just put on my winters because of freezing temperatures when I know I'll be on the road, and partially the noreaster.

I haven't put mine on yet. Waiting for there to be a storm in the forecast. I just checked the 10 day and it looks like I won't need them for a while...that is if you can believe the weathermen. If we do get a surprise I can always drive the truck until I get the tires on.

Put mine on today also in anticipation of the storm. Since the temps are normally in the 40's and 30's now, I think it'll be fine.

I'm waiting another few weeks. Temps are supposed to climb back into the upper 50's later this week and into next week, after the storm passes.

The snowshoes go on the weekend after Thanksgiving, same time every year since I bought the car in 2006. This will be the 4th season with the same snows and plenty of tread left. They get killed when you put them on too early or take them off too late.

I was about to put my snow tires on for the storm, but there seems to be warm weather in the weeks to come. I'll probably wait for the end of Nov or right before the next snow storm.

I went in got my snow tires balanced at wally world today. It was $34.56 with tax. I guess it was a lifetime balance so I can bring them back if ever needed.

Only one day of snow showers in the 10-day forecast and that's Saturday. After that back to high 30's low 40's during the day. I'm holding out as long as I can!

threw them on the brz a few days ago. it doesn't get driven a lot so its fine for now. temps are all over the place i'd rather have it be warmer on winters than have summers on when its cold for the time being.

Put my winter sport 3ds on last weekend. It's like 35-40 on my drive to work, seems worth it to be safe than sorry.

Mine will go on this week or the weekend. I'll probably wait until my new roof basket arrives and spend a few hours with the Forester setting it up for winter. I might as well get in an oil and filter change while I'm at it.

I had the day off and it's pretty warm out so I decided to put them on. Not really needed as there are hardly any below freezing temps in the ten day.

That's why my winter rims have all seasons. Sure there are some compromises, but I just change the rims over in November and back to summers in April/may. There just is not enough snow to worry about it. Even two years ago when it snowed every week I had no issues with no seasons.

I'm holding out until it stays cold. I was tempted to put them on with the recent storm. Hopefully we actually get some snow this year.

Every winter here has a couple of days that reach 60ish. Its not going to destroy your winter tires if you drive for a few days at those temperatures.

Now if you leave them on all summer, or even just through May, thats a different story.
