You check the valve cover gaskets? That causes the oil to trickle down onto the headers and smoke.like farmboss mentioned, the passenger side tends to be the first side to go. You should change all the factory spring clips to the screw type hose clamps for added security.

Those are on the top of the motor right not on the side? If so I am seeing some oil there, and that would make sense cuz I have no heat shield or my DP wrapped so it's prob hot as hell there, ima take a look again later an get y'all to take a look on Thursday, much rather it be that than a head gasket, and yeah I also plan on replacing as many of those clamps as I can

Oven fired pizza $10 for personal $20 for large and pasta etc.

Epic rallycross to end the season. Jeff's racecar trailored-in by Trey's rig. Utility vehicle pulls down entire trees. Huge fire; beer/cigars/tequila/rum apple cider/fire related injury. Great racing and coneage. Another convert, say slide and scream.
^^^ that last little tid bit is exactly why i am so excited to do rallyX!!!!

pizza works for me!

and also I think after doing research and looking at my engine, A LOT, i have come to the conclusion that it is the valve cover gaskets. I am going to replace both sides because it seems they are both a little leaky. Might as well right, while im at it I am also going to do a brand new gaskets for the thermostat and a new thermostat and some new coolant hoses and maybe spark plugs if I have any money left, gonne get it all straight from subaru and hopefully fix everything up before the nasty weather comes around. Also I am going to get a heat shield so i wont have this problem again. Not sure when will have time to do it by then but thats my plan!!

DoubleURXXX Productions (*cough* a renegade marketing wing of Subaru *cough*) has partnered with Bucky Lasek on something only for WRX, STI and BRZ owners where they are asking owners to “show your driving chops.” (I’ve confirmed with Subaru corporate and yes, this is official and totally legit. And yes, you will need a WRX/STI/BRZ VIN to enter…sorry Legacy GT owners.)

Check it out, I just put my vin in, waiting till after class to see what happens!

Went and talked to United Solar about getting stickers made. Was suggested to get actual stickers instead of vinyl for even the star tips will start to peel. So, if I use the image above, the interior "white" would be clear and the "black" would be the color. I was thinking getting some in white and some in WRB (or as close as they can get it). We could actually get full color for no extra charge if we are doing stickers, but I think that would be a little busy on such a small sticker. I was thinking of getting roughly 6" x 3". At that size, rounding up to make it easier, it would be about $2 for one $3 for two. Thoughts?

I printed the 2 color 8" x 4" stuck to the wall and stepped back. Not too many steps back the river swoop and buildings started to fight the stars . IMHO a bit busy. Also suggest subie.org may be premature...until we're sure it's going to and remain a part of subie rva culture.

Some may be happy as is and go for it. I already have and am happy with the RVA with stars version.

BTW anybody want to buy 3 qrts of Redline 5-40 synthetic oil??? Make ou a dealio.

Also tonight when leaving work my boss and I races from a dig. He has a 2012 sti (i think). I was going to use launch control but then restrained myself, I launched the only other way a Subaru can, bogged out, as did he, then boooooossstttt... I beat him by a car and a half at 3/4 throttle, he pulls up fake crying saying he needs and access port, I said there is no way I just beat you! And I didn't hear any miss shifts or anything, maybe I can just drive better?

Im doing mine this weekend. Make sure you get the half moon seals as well. I assumed they came in the kit I bought, but didnt and had to order them separate.

Serious or a joke?

Id have to go with no...

looks like a lot of work to get it working and up to spec. I foresee a lot of broken parts, since none of them were ever engineered for that car.

1998 VW Golf 12V VR6 good luck find cheap parts.

Intake in the wheel well for rally

Looks like no suspension travel. or if there is, bye bye fenders lol

Intercooler/piping exposed is just asking for trouble.

This car would be M4 or MR (top class) from the get go

IMO buy 3 $hitty old Neons. Parts are practically free, very durable/fast car. I would assume you would be trailing it to the race, so you don't have to worry about registering it for the road, just racing it.
Its the most fun (and you drive the fastest) when you just don't give a **** about the car.

learn how to drive a slow car fast

FYI "short pump town center" is considered the mall, and bertuccis is across broad, next to Panera
